10 Songs That Power My Workout

In This Article:

My music tastes are really all over the place. This helps when it comes to working out because my playlists are never boring and monotonous, and it really gets the adrenaline pumping. Most people like to listen to something motivational or inspiring, but I usually go for anything that makes me feel like I want to get up and dance. These are some of my favorite songs to work out to that maybe you could add to your playlist!

C'est La Vie by Khaled

This is a very well-known song with tons of versions available, but I am a little impartial to this version because of the Arabic lyrics. It definitely makes you want to sing at the top your lungs and get moving!

Di Melo by Rak Su

I recently came across this song and I am absolutely obsessed. I've had it on repeat for about a month now and I have yet to get bored of it.

We are One by Pitbull ft. Jennifer Lopez & Claudia Leitte

I consider this song an alternative to Shakira's "Waka Waka" (another great song) because of how similar the vibes are. This is sure to get you out of your seat.

Solita by PRETTYMUCH ft. Rich The Kid

I went through a brief period where I would only listen to songs by PRETTYMUCH, and this song is definitely one of my favorites. The beat is perfect to work in with your reps at the gym.

Just A Lil Bit by 50 Cent (Onderkoffer Remix)

I'm not going to lie, I am not really a fan of trap music/ EDM, but this song really is an exception. I was listening to it for the first time in the gym and went absolutely insane at the beat drop from :42- :50.

ISIS (ADHD) by Joyner Lucas ft. Logic

I have to thank my brother for showing me this song (shout-out to Hamed if your reading this). I have a soft spot for Hip-Hip/ Rap, and it will forever be my favorite genre. If you are the same way, then this song is for you.

Just That Girl by Drew Seeley

You wouldn't think that a Disney Channel Original Movie song would be the perfect workout song.... but it is. For some reason this song always gets me so pumped.

Confident (Slowed) by Justin Bieber

Whenever I get tired of listening to the same song, I'll try to find remixes that way I get a whole new experience but with the same song/lyrics. I honestly like this version of the song better than the original.

Me Vuelvo Loco by Abraham Mateo, CNCO

Spanish music always makes me want to get off my feet, so this song will always be something I go back to. Although it is not usually seen as a "workout song," the buildup is really nice and the lyrics are super catchy.

Pyro Ting by Rak Su, Bank, & Ranx

This has been one of my go-to songs lately, and it is pretty easy to see why. It has a fun and cheery vibe to it that is sure to get you through your last rep.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
