Do you every have some days that are just so stressful. Sometimes you just need to free your mind. Here are some songs that I listen to whenever I feel like relaxing.

1. Magic - Coldplay

The rhythm and beat of this song have a very relaxing tone. Also, the lyrics of the song are very simple yet calming.

2. Since We’ve Begun - Sonny

This romantic song has beautiful lyrics and a slow rhythm. I really like the live version because of the voice of the singer can be heard even more clearly.

3. September Song – JP Cooper

Both versions of this song are catchy, but for some reason, I really like the acoustic version. The lyrics and the rhythm of the song are more drawn out.

4. No Ordinary Love - Sade

The jazz background of this song always relaxes me whenever I listen to it. Sade's voice also has a very relaxing tone that connects to the emotion of the lyrics.

5. Perfect - Ed Sheeran feat. Beyoncé

I like Ed Sheeran song "Perfect" when he first released, but, adding Beyonce to the song just made me love it more. How could I not put this song on the list?

6. Have a Little Faith in Me - John Hiatt

This song is more of a classic, but the slow melody to the song and piano background has always resonated with me. The lyrics make the song all the more beautiful.

7. Rather Be - Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne

The beat of this song is very catchy and so are the lyrics. This is a fun song that also has a very mellow vibe that is good to listen after I'm finished with all my classes for the day.

8. Try - Colbie Caillat

The message to this song is very power: to just be yourself. The guitar melody accompanied with the song just adds to it tranquility.

9. Thy Will - Hilary Scott and the Scott Family

This is a song that I hold very dear to my heart because the lyrics are so powerful and inspirational. It is always good to have a song like this to remind you that God is always there even in hard or stressful times.

10. All Night Long ( All Night) - Lionel Richie

This is another classic song that I could not keep off of my list. Although this does have a more upbeat rhythm to the song there is still a relaxing vibe that accompanies it.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
