Having a great working out playlist can really improve any workout. I know, for me, I have certain songs that I will listen to for specific exercises. For example, songs I listen to when I run versus songs I listen to if I'm working out with weights are completely different for me. Sometimes I need fast-paced song, while other times I'll listen to something calmer when I'm getting towards the end of my workout. After doing some very intense research (going through my playlists), I've come up with a handful of songs that are a must for your playlist at the gym.
1. King is Born: Aloe Blacc
I really don't remember how I discovered this song, but it's great for any type of workout! It does not fail at pumping you up and making your workout great.
2. Soldier: Destiny's Child feat. Lil Wayne
First of all, who doesn't love a good throwback song? This song is just all-around fun to listen to while in the gym.
3. Say It: Flume feat. Tove Lo
Now, I'm usually not one for loving electronic music. However, I could listen to this song anytime, anywhere. It has a great beat and some great drops! Honestly, any song by Flume would be great for a workout, I just like this one the best.
4. Gold: Kiiara
Kiiara not only has a great voice, but this song is so catchy. While it might get stuck in your head all day, it's worth a listen at the gym.
5. Freaky Friday: Lil Dicky feat. Chris Brown
MAKE FUN OF ME ALL YOU WANT but this song is GOOD! It's super funny, and it has a great beat to go along with it that makes it easy to work out to.
6. Lucky Strike: Maroon 5
Even though I love Maroon 5, I find it difficult to workout to a lot of their songs because their a little slower. However, I work out to this song constantly. It's one of their songs that hasn't gotten as much attention as others, but it's great. It's fast-paced, and it has a great beat.
7. Toxic: Britney Spears
I may not agree with the way she spells her first name, but we can all agree that her songs are super catchy. This song is not only a prime throwback, but it will keep you motivated for whatever workout you're doing.
8. Weight in Gold: Gallant
This song starts out a little slow. But when it hits the chorus, it instantly becomes motivational. This song is really great for running!
9. Livin' la Vida Loca: Ricky Martin
I think I might get made fun for this one too...but it's such a fun song! The song has a constant upbeat melody, and who doesn't want to listen to Rick Martin when they workout?
10. Yeah!: Usher
I mean, I can't be the only one who listens to this when I workout. This song is pretty self-explanatory as to why it's great to workout to.
