It's time to reconnect with your past, folks. Recently I have been jamming out to a whole bunch of throwback songs I danced along to during my elementary/pre-teen days. Here are some songs that I'm sure you all remember and should definitely reconnect with. 10/10, would recommend.

1. "Sneaker Night" by Vanessa Hudgens

This song will have you dancing on your feet. This is no denying the catchy beat to this song.

Memorable line: "Basically what we're going to do is dance. Yeah, that's right. It's sneaker night."

2. "Rockstar" by Hannah Montana

This song will bring you back to your 12-year-old self and having dreams about being Hannah all over again.

Memorable line: "Wouldn't it be nice if you could see that I really am a rockstar."

3. "Potential Break Up Song" by Aly & AJ

This song will make you mad at exes you never even had. It's a classic, to say the least.

Memorable line: "This is the potential break up song. Our album needs just one. Oh baby please. Please tell me"

4. "Cyclone" by Baby Bash and T-Pain

If this song doesn't scream middle school dance, I don't know what does. If you can listen to this song without getting up and dancing like an idiot, then props to you.

Memorable line: "She moves her body like a cyclone and she makes me wanna do it all night long"

5. "Miss independent" by Ne-yo

There is something about this song that is undeniably catchy. Always a great sing-a-long song to turn on.

Memorable line: "She's got her own thing. That's why I love her. Miss independent, won't you come in and spend a little time."

6. "One Love" by Jordan Pruitt

Honestly, whatever happened to Jordan Pruitt? This song will have you dancing in around your room with your hairbrush as your mic.

Memorable line: "One love one love one love, that I can't get enough of"

7. "What Dreams Are Made Of" by Hilary Duff

You can't even say you watched "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" and wasn't insanely jealous of Lizze's life. However, this song is the best of the best.

Memorable line: "Hey now, Hey now. This is what dreams are made of."

8. "Burnin' Up" by The Jonas Brothers

I don't know about anyone else, but I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the Jonas Brothers. This one was an instant classic.

Memorable line: "I'm slipping into the lava and I'm tryin' to keep from going under. Baby who turned the temperature hotter? Because I'm burnin' up."

9. "Lipgloss" by Lil' Mama

This song is sure to get everyone in the hip hop dancing mood. You'll be stomping along to the beat and wishing you had Lil' Mama's "magical" lipgloss.

Memorable line: "They say my lipgloss is popping. My lipgloss is cool. All the boys keep rocking. They chase me after school."

10. "Too Little, Too Late" by JoJo

Also another artist who kinda fell off the face of the earth. JoJo has a voice to remember though. Possibly the best break-up song to ever exist.

Memorable line: "It's just a little too late, a little too wrong. And I can't wait. But you know all the right things to say."

I hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane. Go ahead and add these songs to all your Spotify playlists now. The next time you get handed the AUX cord, your friends will not be disapointed.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
