10 Songs Everyone Should Give a Listen

This list is fully opinion based and will contain multiple genres of music so be prepared.

Song Number 1

I can't help falling in love - Elvis Presley.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGJTaP6anOU

This is song number one of my life because it's my favorite song of all time. I have memories of listening to this on a record with my grandmother before she passed in 2012. I think everyone should take a few minutes out of their day to listen to the king himself, Elvis Presley.

Song Number 2

Human (Acoustic) - Jon Bellion

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nk5jkxOtFiY

Not only is Jon Bellion an amazing artist and far underrated if you ask me but his songs have true meaning which is something I feel most songs nowadays lack, This isn't the only song by his which is exceptional. Check out this song and his other works.

Song Number 3

Therapy Session - NF

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgMzxQW2raE

I discovered NF a few months back because his song Intro is on Madden 16. His new album Therapy Session expresses extensive emotions about how his life is going and can easily be connected to for most anyone.

Song Number 4

Lights Down Low - MAX

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-xVwxqjNyI

I found this song about 2 weeks ago and it's one of those songs that you listen to over and over until you hate it. Ya know? Everyone probably knows Max Schneider from Disney and his acting career. Sure enough thought, he's still doing music and is pretty damn good at it if you ask me.

Song Number 5

All I Do is Rap - Futuristic

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIUntky8A_s

All I Do is Rap is one of his newer songs off of the album "As Seen on the Internet". He's just a rap artist that you can tell genuinely loves what he does and money isn't his top priority. Until recently, he was most known for his "Nerd raps in Compton" videos uploaded to Youtube by the channel TheBuffNerds.

Song Number 6

Ill Mind of Hopsin 5 - Hopsin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRVOOwFNp5U

This song is how I found Hopsin four years ago. To this day it is still one of my favorite songs by him. He does what he calls Ill Minds where he talks about common problems and things that everyone sees and thinks about, yet no one wants to talk about.

Song Number 7

Wonder If You Wonder - Witt Lowry

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jl-fO4cp69k

Witt Lowry gave up working for the graphics part of WWE to become a rapper and I would have to say he probably made the right choice. His songs are FULL of meaning and you can hear the passion in his voice.

Song Number 8

I Still Feel Her Pt. 5 - Jonny Craig

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcemzN0eY0U

This song is decently old and honestly I hadn't heard it in a while before this list but when I decided to make it, this is still one of the first that popped into my head that I felt the need to share.

Song Number 9

Molly - Lil Dicky

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZkVqLjGM_I

Normally I never would have put Lil Dicky on this list because although his other works aren't bad, none of them tend to really have meaning but this one does and if you can tell anything from the previous 8 songs, I like music with good meaning.

Song Number 10

Hated - Beartooth

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0ao8FCW-Qk

Beartooth. Very different from everything else on the list and I left it for last because Beartooth is my favorite band. They tend to be a little too heavy for most but if you all will listen to the lyrics they might speak books to you.

Everyone, take a few minutes to listen to these songs. Even if you don't like some of them, hopefully, you'll like at least one or even an artist you find in the suggestions of youtube.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
