The holiday season is here! And you know what that meets, it's the season of Secret Santa gift exchanges and scrambling to figure out exactly what to get your Secret Santa. Not sure what to get that one person you've never talked to before and who of course you've been assigned? Here's a list of ten simple and cute gift ideas for your gift exchanges this year!

1. A Starbucks/Coffee shop gift card and Mug.

Easy to put together, and perfect for every coffee lover as final season approaches!

2. A bottle of nail polish in her favorite color and a nail file.

Instant manicure treat yo self day! Definitely this will be the gift that keeps on giving. All you need to do is slyly figure out her favorite color, pick out an awesome nail polish, and then you're set.

3. A scarf and a pair of gloves.

The winter season is here, and what could be a better or more practical gift than a scarf and a pair of gloves? Your Secret Santa will be warm and toasty and loving you for her new scarf and gloves.

4. A $5 DVD from Walmart, a box of microwavable popcorn, and a box or two of movie theater-style candy

While I am completely aware that this is the age of Netflix, giving your Secret Santa her very own instant at home movie night is a treat she can look forward to at the end of a long week.

5. A pair of warm fuzzy socks and a set of pajamas.

You can find cheap pajamas practically anywhere if you don't want to spend a lot of money, and this particular gift idea grants your Secret Santa the gift of being comfortable.

6. A scented lotion and matching shower gel set.

Looks like the perfect present, usually pretty reasonably priced, and smells amazing!

7. A fuzzy blanket and a pair of slippers.

Clearly, I am a fan of being comfortable. But hey, who isn't?!

8. A matching necklace and bracelet set, or necklace and earrings, etc.

In my opinion, the sparklier the better for this option.

9. A bucket full of her favorite snacks!

Similar to the movie idea, but for this one just grab all of her favorite goodies and hand it over. She will love you forever.

10. A notebook and pen set.

For the writer or creative soul, or just someone who likes to write lists or jot down her thoughts.

Happy shopping this holiday season, and good luck with all your gift exchanges!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
