They say you become an adult when you turn 18, meaning that you suddenly become responsible and ready to go out into the real world and pay bills and stuff. But turning 18 doesn't suddenly mean you actually become an adult if there's a little kid still controlling your heart and bringing you stupid, childish joys. Here are some signs that you're not quite an adult all the way through.
1. Snow days make you happy, not because you get to stay home from work, but because you get to go sledding and have snowball fights.
2. You don't have to have a bedtime.
...although you probably should because even though you're a kid at heart, you do have responsibilities.
3. You got way too excited when "Pokemon Go" came out, downloaded it right away, and have played it ever since.
You've even started re-watching the old movies and show because that kid in your heart told you, you just had to!
4. You still watch classic Disney movies.
...and sing along to every song, recite every word, and do every single dance break in the movie. Also, you still cry when Mufasa dies.
5. Seeing dogs makes you go like this inside.
"Mom, look! It's a puppy!"
6. You're wicked obsessed with Legos.
And you went to see "The Lego Movie" in theaters, and then went home and broke out those Legos. Don't lie, you know you did it.
7. You wish you could have someone to constantly look after you and give you attention.
You also get super jealous when you see little kids getting attention you want on the street. "Like, c'mon! How come I don't get that kind of love anymore?"
8. Chris Pratt is definitely your spirit animal.
C'mon, that guy is the epitome of being a kid at heart!
9. You feel that senseless wave of joy when people offer to buy you ice cream.
Your inner kid loves ice cream, and so do you! Plus, buying things is for adults.
10. You feel giddy and joyous sometimes watching little kids be happy because you know that was you once, and you know that can be you again if you keep feeding your inner kid.
Being a kid on the inside is one of the great joys in life. It makes you feel carefree, and joyous and happy, all while you juggle adult responsibilities. Plus, it's something you'll always carry with you, so long as you feed that inner kid a lot of sugar... inner kids love sugar.
