People can be classified one of two ways, either introverted or extroverted. Except, I would fall somewhere in the middle. I would definitely consider myself shy, quiet, and introverted. Then again, I would also consider myself warm, social, and extroverted. Anybody would look at me and identify me as reticent, but I have every intention of wanting to be sociable. These are a few signs that you are the same way that I am.

1. You sign up for new clubs or events to meet new people, but immediately regret your decision.

2. You pretend to be on your phone to prevent people from talking to you.

3. You force yourself to go to events so you don't regret not going later, but you end up sitting by yourself.

4. It's easy to talk to strangers because you know you won't see them again!

5. You have to mentally prepare yourself for everything that you will say and do.

6. You go to that social gathering, but end up making friends with the dog.

7. You constantly fear that you will miss out if you don't make yourself get involved.

8. You like being around people, but you just don't talk.

9. You do enjoy being alone, but you DO get lonely.

10. We hate small talk, it's painful. We would rather have deep, meaningful conversations.

Wanting to stay in for the day is okay, and wanting to go out and have a good time is also okay. Be who you are, and people will love you.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
