It's been nine years since the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," but last week, author J.K. Rowling excited her fans when she announced on her website about releasing an eighth Harry Potter book. The title of the book is called "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," and it's set to be released on July 31, 2016.
So while we have to wait five months for the book to be released, here are ten signs that you're a Harry Potter fanatic:
1. You can make your very own butterbeer.
You even believe that your butterbeer tastes just as good (if not better) than the butterbeer at Universal. It's nice to have that type of confidence in yourself.
2. You were an emotional mess when "Deathly Hallows" was released.
After the countless crying spells you suffered, it took you many months to come to terms that it was really the end.
3. You wear your Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Slytherin scarf with pride.
Not only are the scarves trendy, but they are also very inexpensive:
4. You devote a lot of your time reading and/or writing Harry Potter fan fiction on Tumblr.
It's just like Netflix. You want to stop, but yet you're always wanting more. I totally feel you.
5. You didn't know how to react when the eighth Harry Potter book was announced.
But in the end, it was the best news you had ever heard in your life. Period.
6. You dream about going to Hogwarts at least 25 times per day.
"Forget school. I'm going to Hogwarts." -- you at some point in your life
7. You live for Harry Potter movie marathons on ABC Family.
Technically, ABC Family is now called Freeform, but you still get the idea.
8. You knew Robert Pattinson as Cedric Diggory way before you knew him as Edward Cullen.
Just like his "Twilight" alter ego, he never ages. Amazing.
9. You always dream about doing this do Lord Voldermort's face.
If you're obsessed with Harry Potter and Pinterest, then this project is literally a dream come true.
10. At the end of the day, you're proud to be a Harry Potter fanatic.
One thing that Gryffindors, Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs and Slytherins can all agree on is how passionate they are about their fanbase. Being a Harry Potter fan is a passion they enjoy embracing every single day.
So thank you, J.K. Rowling, for bestowing all of us with this wonderful gift. It's truly the gift that keeps on giving.
