Spring break is the best part of spring semester because you get to forget about classes for a week and actually have fun for once. Coming back from break is usually a little less enjoyable, though. Your week of sunshine and beaches turns into weeks of essays and unbearably boring lectures way too quickly. After such an amazing week-long break, it is much harder to find the motivation to actually crawl out of bed for that 9:00 A.M. class. Let's face it, the post-spring break blues are something that many of us are way too familiar with. If you display more than one of the following signs, then you may be affected by them, too.
1. The initial pain and depression of returning back to class from break
Once you set that morning alarm you know that there's no turning back. You are forced to acknowledge that break is over and you suddenly feel like ugly crying.
2. The feeling of never getting enough sleep anymore
3. If you can never focus while doing homework anymore
Wait, what class was this reading even for?4. When you have so many things to stress about that you have pretty much gave up on fun
Sorry, I can't go out tonight, I'll be too busy thinking about all the other things that I should be doing instead.5. You have officially gave up on any sort of dieting at this point
Who even has time to meal prep anymore? Not me!6. When you are already planning a trip for next spring break
7. You find yourself falling asleep in class way more than usual
Sorry, professor, I was just dreaming about how great it would be if I were still on spring break.
8. When your friends from other colleges are on spring break while you're sitting in class
Why can't we just have a second spring break?
9. You contemplate buying a plane ticket to somewhere more exciting and dropping out of school about ten times a day
But then you remember that you actually want to have a successful future.
10. But when the semester is finally over and summer break begins you're like
It's time to celebrate since you actually have a little free time for once.
Regardless of how badly you may be missing spring break, just remember that summer is just around the corner. So at least you'll have more time to make plans for next spring break, which is always important.
