Although we go to the Naval Academy, we are still college students at heart (don't tell anyone). When Spring Break season rolls around, we make plans to go on awesome trips just like the majority of every other college student in America. It is our time to relax and let loose before buckling back down to finish out the semester. That being said, we are on our last few days until freedom and are all counting down the hours until we drive over that Naval Academy Bridge and do not have to look at the dome of the chapel for 10wholedays.

1. The "Happiness Factor" is finally above a 1!

(The Happiness Factor is the number of days of leave divided by the number of days until leave)

2. The days seem to draggggg onnnnn...

3. Every girl is secretly online shopping during class.

4. Teachers save all of their papers and tests for the last week.

5. You make the conscious decision to pack instead of doing physics homework.

6. You are caught daydreaming about the beach in just about every class.

7. The taboo "what are you doing for spring break?" question becomes the center of every conversation you have.

9. You suddenly see a lot more people in the gym and eating more salads.

10. You can just feel yourself getting antsier as each day gets closer to leave.

While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
