10 Signs You and Your Mom Are like Lorelai And Rory From Gilmore Girls

1. When your mom is always right:

Whether it was a fight with friends, a bad teacher, or a bad break up my mom has always backed me up. It's a great feeling to have a mom who will stand by you no matter what.

3. When you had those weird conversations:

When my boyfriend and I broke up while I was away at school, my mom was the one I called. She had the best advice and helped me find joy in life when I felt like everything was falling apart. My amazing mom listened to my cry on the phone, listened to me vent about him for months, and thankfully told me that it was time to move on.

5. When your mom is your biggest supporter:

My mom has always been there for me. She was at every volleyball tournament, every soccer game, and every dance recital cheering me on from the front row. Her encouragement helped get me through bad days and helped me learn how to believe in myself. Even in college she still supports me everyday in my studies, in my friendships, and in my sorority (she makes all of my letters). It's so amazing to have a mom who believes in you.

7. When you miss her:

I still call my mom everyday while I am away at school. I'll probably do that forever, mostly because I really look forward to our daily chats. She is my best friend and I constantly miss her presence. Coming home is the best thing in the world because I get to see my mom!

7. When you share clothes:

Enough said.

8. When she's your first call if you are in trouble:

When I got bit by a stray dog on Halloween while I was away at school, my mom was my first call. She immediately flew out to Texas to be at the hospital with me while I had to get rabies shots.

9. When you don't know what you would do without her:

My mom does so much for me. She is there when I cry and there when I smile. I don't know what I would do in life without her love and support.

10. When she is your hero:

I can honestly say that when I grow up, I want to be exactly like my mom. She is the strongest and wisest women I know. I am so lucky to have such a perfect role-model to look up to.

Mom,

Thank you for everything that you have done for me these past 18 years. You are the most loving, forgiving, and compassionate women I know. I am so lucky to have a mom who goes out of her way to make sure others are happy, has so much knowledge, and has so much love for everyone.

I cannot describe my love for you in words, but all I have to say is this: We are Rory and Lorelai-- relationship goals.

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

Who could be a better friend than your own sister?

sisters

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

If you’re anything like me, you love a good cup of coffee. My coffee always comes from Starbucks; I refuse to drink it from anywhere else. Over the years, it’s become one of my biggest addictions. So, if you are aware that you’re a Starbucks addict as well, or maybe you need to check to see if you’re an addict, here are seven ways to tell.

College involves a whirlwind of emotions, whether it’s from the stress of an assignment (or twenty), or from fighting with your roommate. It can be overwhelming at times and it’s important to take a step a back and calmly think things over. Maybe gain some perspective.
