1. People frequently call you a
hippie.
Typically, my mother calls me a hippie, but she already knows what she's going to do with me when I die. She's going to turn me into a tree (it was a very interesting discussion).
2. Walking across grass when you're barefoot is your favorite thing ever.
Nothing is better than the feel of cool grass, and soft earth under your bare feet. The thought makes me swoon.
3. Actually, being barefoot is absolutely liberating.
Whether you're barefoot walking across your lawn, or with your feet in the lake, being barefoot is amazing. Just keep an eye out for animal droppings.
4. You have a favorite season, and you're very passionate about why.
Autumn is the greatest season of all, and no one can convince me otherwise.
5. You have an absurd amount of nature pictures saved to your phone.
You also have more on your computer, and all over your social media sights.
6. You keep finding reasons to go outside.
Whether your friend wants to go catch Pokémon at the park, or it's too cold inside because your dad enjoys sub-zero temperatures, you'll find an excuse to be outside.
7. You like nature more than you like people.
Nature isn't rude to you. Nature doesn't ask stupid questions.
8. You don't mind getting dirty.
Sure, you may have grass stains on your jeans, but you think it adds character.
9. You can easily spend a few hours outside, and not get bored.
I've spent three hours sitting barefoot in a creek with only music to keep me occupied. Honestly, I wish I could have stayed longer.
10. Being in, or around, nature makes you extremely happy.
Sometimes, you just need a break from people. Spending a few hours recharging your batteries in nature is a great way to keep from killing someone, trust me. Being out in nature makes it easier to breathe, which makes life so much easier.
