11 Signs You Have Embraced The Wine Mom Culture

You have a job, friend and family drama, a hectic schedule. Sometimes, you like to unwind after a long day with a glass of wine. You live a very stressful life at the ripe, old age of 21.

You've accepted this as your life. You're simply living in Act I of life, preparing for Act II: your actual adult life with a real job and your own family. The time you spend refining your palate in your 20s, the more you will appreciate a French Pinot Noir at age 38.

1. You grab the wine list at any restaurant.

2. You don't really know what you're looking for, so you guess.

3. You humblebrag about being a casual drinker.

4. Even though you opt for boxed wine, you still feel (not so) sophisticated.

5. You feel more mature.

6. You use science to reinforce your decision to have a glass while watching "The Bachelorette" — two glasses of red wine slim your waistline? Sign me up!

7. You are very much aware of what kind of wine will give you the worst hangover.

8. You are an amateur at pairing wines and cheeses.

9. Nothing is more satisfying than coming home from a long day at the beach than changing into your pajamas and grabbing a couple of bottles before "The Real Housewives of New York City."

10. You drink it any day, any season, any function.

11. You're catchphrase is, "Oh, I'll just have a glass of wine."

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
