"Time and change will surely show

How firm thy friendship,

O-HI-O."

Those incredible words. That surreal moment when over 100,000 people in Ohio Stadium come together as one. It doesn't matter how many times you sing Carmen, Ohio. The goosebumps never change and the atmosphere never falters. Ohio State football is truly an experience unlike any other. As a Buckeye, the thought of football is never far from your mind, no matter what time of year it is. Here are 10 signs you can't wait for Ohio State football season.

1. You already bought your football tickets even though you can barely afford to buy food.

You will gladly put yourself in debt if it means you get to cheer on your favorite team from the crowd. You can save money some other time.

2. You actually did start saving up money, but it's not for food. It's for playoff tickets.

Yes, you know the regular season hasn't even started yet. Yes, you still can't afford food. That doesn't matter. You KNOW the Bucks are making it all the way this year and you KNOW you're not missing out.

3. You find yourself constantly discussing this year's team, even when no one really cares as much as you do.

The question of the quarterback? The incoming freshmen? The specific matchups based on this year's schedule? You're the person to ask. You have all the details.

4. You already have a playlist for pre-game.

Well, to be specific: it's the playlist for the pre-game's pre-game, but it's absolutely crucial to get pumped up before you even leave your house. It doesn't matter that it will be 9 in the morning and entirely too early to be listening to Fetty.

5. Your football jerseys and Ohio State gear are your go-to when you're getting dressed.

Who cares that it's only June? The Buckeyes are always on your mind, so you're always reppin'.

6. You can't go to a normal party without wishing it was a pre-game tailgate.

Those parties are great and all, but there won't be Buckeye football afterward, so they'll never quite compare.

7. You wish face tattoos/paint were socially acceptable to wear on a regular basis.

Are you telling me I can't wear this Ohio State sticker on my cheek in the middle of June?

8. You're already stressing about seating arrangements.

All you know is you need to be as close to the field as humanly possible. While you'd be happy with any seat in the Shoe, you're praying for those up-close-and-personal seats next to your favorite people.

9. You're already making plans for specific game days.

Parents: coming October 28. Friends: coming November 11. Again, yes, you know it's June. It's never too early to prepare. This is important.

10. The Michigan crap talk never stops.

It's Monday, June 5th, 2017, and Michigan still sucks.

See you guys on September 9 at the Shoe. Look for the girl singing Carmen loudly, proudly and extremely out of tune. Go, Bucks.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
