All girls have an inner spirit animal. Sometimes, we don't want to admit it because she's probably the complete opposite of the person we are every day of the year. However, no matter how hard we try, she escapes every now and then and causes some trouble or reminds us that we are more than the average student or girl. For me, my spirit animal is Blair Waldorf. She's probably yours, too, if any of this list applies to you. If you are truly an Upper East Side diva, just embrace it.

1. Face it, we've all been there. Toleration is just a life necessity.

2. Broken hearts affect everyone in different ways. There's the ones where you can drink it away and then there are the ones that hit deep.

3. There is nothing better than being a woman who isn't afraid to be the boss.

4. You don't allow your emotions to dictate your life. You make clear-headed decisions.

5. You never think less of yourself. You're perfect and everyone knows that.

6. You don't allow a boy to cloud your ambitions. You have to be a strong woman on your own before being strong with someone else.

7. Like Blair always says, "you can't make people love you but you can make them fear you."

8. You don't NEED a man but when that time comes, you have the perfect phrase to lock it down.

9. It's probably not just RBF that you have. Deep down, we're all capable of being the "not-so-nice" one.

10. But you are always the shoulder to lean on despite anything and everything a friend puts you through.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
