It's almost Christmas break, and if you are like me, you cannot wait to sit on your couch/bed/floor/wherever you sit to binge shows and find your latest addiction. Whether you cry in anguish, in sadness, in happiness, or from laughter, these 10 shows will give you everything you need.

1. Gilmore Girls.

Whether or not you are caught up on Gilmore Girls, you should be watching the newest four episodes. Each episode, which is centered around a season, follows the girls for roughly an hour-and-a-half or longer. There's Luke and Loralei, there is Kirk, there is Rory and writing, and there is Jess. It's a wonderful piece of happiness that integrates the old and the new, and those 4 last words. You will find yourself crying from relatability, laughing at the references and then sobbing at the end.

2. Parenthood

Ready for the next Lauren Graham show on this list? Parenthood is one of those shows that you binge a few seasons, take a break, come back to it and sob into your wine glass at 2 in the morning. It has everything: sibling relationships, parental relationships, cousin relationships and even relationships that form between the character and you. The immersive show banks on the fact that at some point, you are one of the characters. I like to think I'm both Julia and Christina, but that's just me.

3. One Tree Hill

One Tree Hill is that show that everyone has seen gif posts of on Tumblr or Twitter and gets so excited about because it's an emotional roller coaster that leaves you wanting to move to Small Town, USA. The show features the best music, the best cast and the best relationship goals of the 21st century.

4. Sense8

This Netflix original is one of the most dynamic shows to come out in 2015. The series follows eight random people from around the globe that can feel what the others feel, see what the others feel and do as the others do. The show is full of intrigue, love and action. As with other Netflix originals, you just need a bottle of wine and a full, lazy day.

5. How I Met Your Mother

This is THE show that you fall in love with, hate vehemently and then ultimately rewatch over and over. How I Met Your Mother follows Ted in his recollection of memories to his children about his wild friends and how he finally came to meet their mother. You will cry with laughter and with genuine sadness. This show knows how to get real.

6. Friends

For all of those people who swear against Friends, there are a million more people who devote their life to the show. Even if you did not watch the show in the early 2000's, the show is still as relevant as ever. Themes of friendships and relationships and the attempt to live in New York City keeps its relatability after all these years.

7. The 100

For all those dystopian future junkies, this show will hit you right in the feels. As 100 juvenile criminals get sent down to Earth to see if it is habitable, there are a million different problems that occur on Earth as well as the space station they just left. The three seasons on Netflix will leave you questioning technology more than ever so beware.

8. Parks and Recreation

Yes, I know this is supposed to be a cryfest type of list, but Parks and Recreation hits you with the comedy of Amy Poehler and Chris Pratt and then settles you down with a dose of the fetal position tears. Leslie Knope is the woman that all women aspire to be and Ben Wyatt is #boyfriendgoals.

9. The Office

I will preface this by saying that the first few episodes of The Office were the hardest to get through, but after that, I have never cried or laughed as much as I did while watching this show. The classic show that was adapted from the British version has everything you could ever want in a show: love, laughs and pranks on Dwight.

10. Grey's Anatomy

The show that started it all, the show that ruined an entire summer of mine, the show that will never, ever be canceled: Grey's. Although Grey's Anatomy is in its 47th season, it does not take long to get caught up when you binge-watch it from the beginning all day, every day for a month or two. You will find yourself texting your significant other to "Pick me, choose me, love me".

BONUS: Private Practice

When you get through Grey's Anatomy, or at least four seasons of it, you need to head on over to Oceanside Wellness and meet the Private Practice crew. This show has Addison Montgomery, Amelia Shepherd, and beach houses! This show is just as emotional as its sister show, and has less seasons!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
