10 Shows On Netflix You Must Binge Watch This Summer
Fansided

At this point in my life, I would consider myself to be a Netflix Profession Binge Watcher. I watch Netflix like it is my job and honestly, not ashamed to admit it. Whether I sneak an episode or two in-between work shifts or fall asleep to the opening credits of "Gilmore Girls" every night, Netflix has been a part of my daily routine. I really should just apply to be a professional Netflix binge watcher. And yes, that is a real job. Here are 10 shows you might not have thought about adding to your list that you must add for this summer’s Netflix Binge Fest.

1. "The Office"

Whether you have yet to watch it or have watched it a million times before, the office must be on your Netflix binge fest this summer. The first episode might be a little uncomfortable but fight through it and I promise, you won’t be disappointed. I mean, who doesn’t want to watch a bunch of adults work all day in an office?

2. "Daredevil"

I was never a huge fan of Marvel’s Comics or superheroes but I have to say that this show caught my attention. The Netflix show is thrilling and pulls you in to the dangerous cultural mafias that take over Hell’s Kitchen. The cliché superhero theme definitely gives you an idea of what is bound to happen but the blinding twist pulls you in.

3. "New Girl"

You cannot go wrong with watching "New Girl" over and over again. If the quirky awkwardness of Jess doesn’t force you to keep watching, then Schmidt’s tool like tendencies will. Watching grown adults failing to figure out life but strangely succeeding will help you feel comfortable with the way your life is going.

4. "Orange is the New Black"

Cliché. Am I right? Well luckily for us, the prison yard Netflix original is back with a new season starting in June 2016. Clear your work schedules ladies and gentlemen, you are going to want to see this.

5. "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"

Prepare yourselves for this one. The very strange and uncomfortable humor of Tina Fey will make you squirm in your seat but you will not want to stop watching. This new Netflix original show about a mole women living life in New York City with her new best friends is worth a peak. But just know, I will warn you of the extremely awkward and unexpected humor.

6. "Law & Order: SVU"

If you are into more of a darker, crime side of television, "Law & Order SVU" is your best bet. There are the other TV Crime dramas like "Criminal Minds," "How to Get Away With Murder," and "Blue Bloods" (that I also recommend) but SVU takes the cake. I binge watched all seasons of this show within three weeks. Probably not the healthiest three weeks of my life.

7. "The Ranch"

This new original just arrived on Netflix and I have had the chance to watch a few episodes. The new comedy starring Ashton Kutcher is something to look into if you like really bad southern accents and negative jokes, this show is for you. It comes together and finally starts to make sense around the third episode but definitely will keep you laughing throughout.

8. "Friday Night Lights"

On my list, the show "Friday Night Lights." Due to the constant recommendations from friends and family, I decided to give the first episode a try. I watched the first episode and now I’m hooked. I’m only on the first season of the TV drama and I am already feeling all the emotions. Good luck with that and keep some tissues nearby for when you need them.

9. "Wet Hot American Summer"

I refused to watch this show because I thought it was completely pointless (which it is) until I was sat down by a friend and forced to watch an episode. Surprisingly, I couldn’t stop laughing. Plus, it helps that Paul Rudd is one of the main stars in this 1980s mini-series.

10. "Friends"

Lastly, if you are not interested in watching anything new or exciting, you can resort to good old "Friends." The classic 90s comedy runs for hours and can be watched over and over again while never getting old. I mean, if Chandler can still make you laugh, you are golden.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
