The best time of the year is finally here!
October is the perfect excuse to dress up in ridiculous costumes, drink way too many PSLs and watch horror movies for hours on end. We all love to gather around the TV and shut all the lights off with our friends scaring ourselves with twisted horror movies. Grab your popcorn and a blanket to cover your eyes for when you watch these scary Halloween movies!
1. IT
If you haven't seen this movie in theaters, you're missing out. Everyone loves a kid-eating clown who lives in the sewer, right? This might just be one of the scariest movies of all time, so you are in for a scary treat.
2. SAW I-VII
These classics will have you spooked for hours on end. If you love watching people try to win Jigsaw's games and save their own lives, then these movies are right up your alley. They're perfect for a weekend movie marathon!
3. Insidious
One of my personal favorites is this creepy flick. The plot will have your mind blown all while being sufficiently scared along the way.
4. The Shining
This one is an oldie but a goodie! Seeing this movie is basically a right of passage for anyone looking to call themselves a lover of horror movies.
5. The Exorcist
Only the truly brave will be able to make it through two hours and 13 minutes of the pure terror this movie has to offer. Good luck with that.
6. Hush
This relatively newer one is available on Netflix for all to enjoy. A deaf woman alone in the woods being terrorized by a killer sounds pretty disturbing when you think about how helpless she is.
7. Scream
Everyone's favorite slasher will always be a good pick when looking for that perfect movie to scare you, and maybe even your dad.
8. Amber Alert
Though this one is not your typical Halloween themed movie, it is still definitely worth the watch. If you are not convinced that this one deserves a spot on this list, all I have to say to that is just wait until the end.
9. Annabelle
This haunted doll will guarantee you a night without sleep after watching this one.
Warning: make sure you do not watch these movies alone unless you are a fan of nightmares!
