Despite our stay at home order quickly coming to a close, local restaurants still need your help. Many of these businesses did not have a delivery service before, rather completely relied on in house business from customers. Now that they have been closed for over a month, they still need your continued support. Whether you will visit once the stay at home order is lifted or you will continue to support them remotely through their delivery or a delivery service app, here are some restaurants to consider when you want to 'dine out.'

Bonus, they are open until 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday!

Founded in 1979, Tom Gelsosomo wanted to share his love for Italian cuisine with everyone and opened his first pizzeria in Portage, IN. Gelsosomo's has been in Crown Point since 2007, and offers amazing service and food. Obviously, pizza is their game, and boy do they play well. The sizes of some of their pizza is astronomical, especially when you look at the price. Not only do they serve delicious food, but they also offer salads, sandwiches, and pasta on their menu.

Although they personally do not offer their own store delivery service, they are connected through GrubHub for deliveries. North Street Diner has some of the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. When they are open, the inside of the restaurant feels as though another time. It has that true diner feel. They offer a variety of breakfast meals that one could only dream of having in the morning. While I personally am head over heels for their breakfast menu, they also have selections for lunch and dinner.

Main Street Cafe has a little bit of something for anyone. People rave over their large and plentiful breakfast selection. People love the atmosphere, the staff friendliness, and the creative dishes. Personally, opposed to larger corporations, I think they are an affordable option when wanting a sweet treat. Don't let staying at home bring you down! The story goes that Fred originally came from Sicily, where he eventually landed in Chicago and married his wife, Lucina. From there, they had their son Sam. Sam and Lucina worked in the kitchen together while creating new recipes alongside Sam's wife, Jenny. Eventually, Sam and Jenny had Fred, Tony, and their grandson Fred Jr. The tradition is continuously carried on through the establishment and attainment of Sineni's Pizza Cellar, founded in 1972. Besides the family owned business history which I love about this place, the menu contains all that you'd love about Italian food, From pizza to pasta, this is a great restaurant to offer support to during this time.
