10 Resolutions We Should Actually Stick To
Wild Apricot

The New Year is finally here, and we are officially starting 2017. We had our fun, made some mistakes, but ultimately we are putting 2016 behind us, and starting fresh. I'm sure all of us have made a few New Year's resolutions, and maybe half of us are actually planning on sticking with them. Regardless if you have or have not made any resolutions, here are a few resolutions that we should actually try really hard not to break this year

1. Drink more water

Water is the cure all for everything, basically. Want better skin? Drink more water. Want to feel less exhausted and lethargic all of the time? Drink more water. Don't want a terrible hangover? Drink more water. Want to lose a few pounds? Drink more water. It really is so simple, and it is amazingly refreshing. You will be thanking yourself later for this one.

2. Work out regularly

Working out in general is a healthy and proactive addition to your daily schedule. The workouts don't have to be grueling, or weight loss induced. Simply 20-30 minutes a day of cardio of any kind will make you a happier and healthier individual.

3. Try something new

It is important to step out of your comfort zone and say "when is the last time you did something for the first time?" Life is all about new experiences, and trying new things. You will be surprised to find you will like some things you never imagined you would.

4. Take care of yourself

At the end of the day, you are stuck in your own body, and if you don't take care of yourself, you will definitely begin to notice the changes. Take some me time to relax, de-stress and always put your mental health first. Loving yourself is an important part of growing up.

5. Eat better

Being in college can sometimes take a toll on your stomach and you may find yourself order pizza or driving to chipotle just a bit too often. Take some time to make healthy grocery lists, packed full of fruits and veggies. Obviously we don't have to eat like rabbits, but including healthy products into our diet will make us all feel a little better.

6. Take a break from social media

Social media is everywhere, and I can personally say I am a victim of continuous use. Social media basically runs our lives, and most of us have experienced dependencies on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and basically every other social network site out there. Try to limit your intake, and you will be surprised how great it feels.

7. Get more sleep

Sleep is the answer to everything, and a nap can cure any time of problem you may have. It is important not to sleep your days away, but making sure we get to bed at a decent time of night, can make a world of difference when you wake up the next day. We will begin to notice less and less coffee intake, when we make sure to get a good amount of sleep.

8. Take more pictures

Pictures are worth a thousands words, and being able to scroll through images of good times, will be just what you need when you are feeling a little low. It is a wonderful blessing that we have the technology available to us, to snap a picture instantaneously of any moment we are experiencing, so lets take advantage of it!

9. Stop doubting yourself

Know your self worth, and believe that you can do anything you set your mind to. Make sure you know that you are amazing, and nothing can stop you. You can achieve anything, and you will get through anything that may come into your path.

10. Be more confident!

This is a huge one, and probably the most important resolution I will make this year. Confidence really is key, even though that quote is used way too often. Confidence saves you from every situation possible, and if you look at life through a worry-less, "YOLO" lense, you will experience life the way it was intended. Be free from accepting judgement, express yourself, be who YOU are, and be comfortable in your skin! If you are confident, you can't lose.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
