10 Resolutions Every Girl Should Have

Every year people make resolutions to better themselves. But most people give up those 10 resolutions within the first month of the new year. So here are 10 resolutions that every girl no matter what age should have coming into the new year.

1. Be happy

Now this is easy to say, but actually being happy is different. Do something for yourself that makes you happy. Watch "Friends" on Netflix with your roomies, paint your nails, or even treat your self to a new pair of shoes. Do something that makes you happy!

2. Never settle

Don't settle for the guy that doesn't treat you right. If he doesn't treat you the way you should be treated then leave.

3. Take time for yourself

The pressure of society on girls all ages is difficult. Especially with social media. So take time for yourself. If that means taking a yoga class, hiking, or just hanging by yourself reading a book then do it.

4. Delete the negatives

Strolling through Facebook, Twitter and even Instagram can sometimes make you feel worse about yourself. Delete those negative people in your life. Especially if you don't even talk to them anymore... then why are they still on your newsfeed?

5. Be spontaneous

Try something new!!! A new coffee shop, a new style, or even a trip to a town 3 hours away. Be adventurous and wild!

6. Start a new hobby

Have you always wanted to knit? (I know I have lol) Well then try it. All those hours you sit in bed wondering what to do... learn a new hobby and do something with your time.

7. Read for your health

Read a book to better yourself. Maybe its about dieting and how diets don't work. Or maybe its about yoga and the benefits it has to the body and mind.

8. Meet new people

Meeting new people is scary. Trust me, I'm outgoing once you get to know me. But I hate meeting new people so step out of your comfort zone and talk to the person next to you in your math class. You never know, they could become your best friend.

9. Spend time with your besties

Now this is obvious, but spend time with them. Make an effort to see them as must as possible, especially if they don't go to the same school as you.

10. Don't change for someone

Lastly, don't change for someone. If that person doesn't like you the way you are then why bother. They are the negative you need to drop. So drop them!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
