Going to college has opened my eyes when it comes to cherishing my mom. Having gotten much closer to her and it probably also is because of the million of times I miss her and I wish she was right here with me. If you asked me in high school I would never say that my mom is my best friend, but I can safely say that she is now.

1. You can tell her anything.

She knows everything I do and finds out 2 seconds after I do.

2. She understands your humor.

Probably because you most likely got your ~unique~ humor from her.

3. She has the best advice and has a lot of it.

We all know the only person who you truly listen to is your mom.

4. She is your number one fan.

We all need a fan, who's a better one than your mom?

5. She puts up with all your sass.

Coming from me, we know she gets a lot of sass and often.

6. She always has a ton of compliments ready for you.

I mean who doesn't love getting compliments??

7. She will always be the best person to go shopping with.

8. She always knows how to cheer you up.

Those care packages you get just when you need them, the candy and ice cream she buys and brings you when you just need it the most.

9. She loves you unconditionally. No matter what you do.

Also, the first person to find out about everything since she knows exactly what to say and do.

10. Most importantly of all, she is always there for you.

Even when you call her in the middle of the night crying over a boy because you may have had a bit too much wine at dinner, or during finals when you need to get up early and she wakes up extra early to make sure you're awake.

Love you, Mamma! Hopefully, I'll be as good of a mom as you one day.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
