1. You make sure to embarrass them in front of new people.

It doesn't matter if it's a girl at a party, or a second cousin twice removed, you're going to make it your goal to be the weirdest friend possible when introduced to new people.

2. You eat all of their food.

Once you get the initial "OK" to a snack out of their stash, there's no stopping the hungry tornado that is your appetite. You will steal their fries at meals, and their popcorn at movies. The best part is that you know they won't care, because they do the same thing right back to you.

3. You share everything.

Besides food, you'll find you share everything else, from clothes, to class notes, to body warmth.

4. You can be single, together.

Who needs a significant other when you have your best friends around to give you all the everything you need? Not you! But if you have one, that's OK too.

5. You make sure each other's style is sweet like syrup.

You love them to death, but there is no way you're letting them walk out of the house like that. A turtleneck with a necklace? How about no!

6. Sometimes, you just don't know what's going on.

There are a lot of days you have no idea what's happening. Somebody says the word "buffalo," and suddenly the entirety of your friend group bursts out laughing. You don't know why, and, most of the time, you're not sure you want to know.
