Over the weekend I had the pleasure of seeing the new summer blockbuster: "Wonder Woman". Growing up as a kid, I always enjoyed watching the cartoon version of Wonder Woman in the television series "The Justice League." However, I must say this new movie blew everything out of the water in the best way possible. Here are the top 10 reasons why you (and every single person you know) need to see this summer blockbuster:

1. Wonder Woman Serves As A Great Role Model For Young Girls

She is strong and fearless. She teaches little girls not to be afraid. She is everything a fictional role model should be.

2. The Battle Scenes In "Wonder Woman" Are Literally Jaw-Dropping

I was pleasantly surprised on how well each of the battle scenes were filmed. I expected some cheesy fight scenes, with semi-good acrobatics and fake punches, but I was wrong. Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman, fought fiercely.

3. Even Though This Is An Action Movie, Throughout The Movie You Find Yourself Laughing Quite A Bit

Throughout the movie I found myself laughing many times. I feel as though it's good to throw a little bit of humor in there, especially in such a serious action film. It lightens the mood of the crowd a bit.

4. The Plot-Line Is Spaced Out Quite Nicely

Some movies skip from scene to scene without fully telling the story, leaving the viewers totally confused. However, the plot-line is sequenced nicely in "Wonder Woman" meaning, it spaces out Wonder Woman's story in the best way possible.

5. It Represents A Turning Point In The Film Industry

Typically the film industry is dominated by men, but this movie serves as an outlier due to its female lead and its female director.

6. "Wonder Woman" Gives A New Take On Recent And Ancient History

This movie is set during WWI, where the world was extremely divided. However, this movie is based around the ancient Greek Gods, giving viewers a taste of the new and the old.

7. This Movie Is An Essential Prelude To The Upcoming Action Movie "The Justice League"

If you are a fan of D.C. Comics and their upcoming movie "The Justice League," then seeing "Wonder Woman" is a necessity before you see the other. Mostly because Wonder Woman will also be starring in that movie as well.

8. It Teaches You To Push Boundaries

Wonder Woman herself pushes the boundaries forced upon her by early 20th century society. She openly walks into room full of only, powerful men and speaks her mind about the topic at hand. She's breaking her expected gender role.

9. It Is The Most Successful Female-Led Film In An Overwhelmingly Male-Dominated Superhero Landscape

The super hero world is intensely dominated by men, so it is a nice change-up to see one of the very few, famous female super heroes getting her own movie. According to CNN.com, it raked in $103.1 million its first weekend at the box office, making it the biggest opening ever for a female director ever.

10. Wonder Woman Emblems Everything A Woman Should Be

She exemplifies everything every woman should be, and want to be. She is strong, passionate, well-voiced, and an overall just a badass. She does not let anyone put her down. Whenever there is an obstacle she figures out a way to get around it. The sky is the limit in her eyes, as it should be in the eyes of every other woman in the world.

We have reached a turning point in Hollywood where you are seeing more and more television shows and movies being led by women - this means both behind and in front of the scenes. "Wonder Woman" is a tremendous example of this, with it being both starred in and directed by two very strong women. Wonder Woman herself, serves a strong, fearless role model for young girls today. These 10 reasons (and many more) should be more than sufficient in convincing you to see this summer's blockbuster, "Wonder Woman".

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
