10 Reasons You Love Fall

Ladies and gentlemen fall is finally upon us. It's no secret that fall is truly the best season and my absolute favorite time of year. Fall is the season you spend all year looking forward too. Here's just a few reasons why.

1. Sweaters

I don't know about you but there's literally nothing better for my wardrobe than sweater weather. Giant sweaters are comfy, cozy, and cute as hell. With the right sweater nobody will ever know about that extra slice of pumpkin pie or fourth serving of Thanksgiving dinner. Sweaters allow you to forget about having a bikini body let you live life to the fullest. And by life I mean your stomach.

2. Scarves

No fall look would be complete without a scarf. Its cute and can make any outfit look stylish. Not to mention all the practical uses it has as well. Does your favorite shirt have a stain on the front? Throw on that giant blanket scarf. Want to take an impromptu nap? Turn that giant scarf into a blanket.

3. Boots

Riding boots, booties, thigh-highs, black boots, tan boots, brown boots hell even boots with the fur. It's no secret that I love boots. They're cute, comfortable and making an outfit look put together even easier. Long live boots.

4. Fall Candles

If you don't own at least one fall scented candle from Bath & Body Works then we have a problem. No sane person can just walk passed the enchanting smells coming from that store during fall. Not only will they make your home smell amazing but you'll get to curl up next to the fire while you watch all of Shonda Rhimes' masterpieces.

5. Shonda Night on ABC

Fall means the returns of the reason you love Thursdays. No Thursday feels complete without Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, and How To Get Away With Murder, you know the greatest shows ever created.

6. Fall Makeup Trends

Fall is probably the only time my makeup looks on point. With the warm shadow shades and the dark lips I feel like I can take on the world. Not to mention I don't have to worry about my makeup melting down my face from the 95 degree heat.

7. Warm Drinks

It doesn't matter if you're a basic white girl with a serious addiction to Pumpkin Spice Lattes or if you're just a normal person with who enjoys feeling cozy on your way to class. Warm drinks are there to warm you up from the inside out and keep your day going in the right direction.

8. The Instagram Opportunities

Fall is definitely one of the prettiest times of the year. Which means every pic is about to roll in the likes. Finding the perfect background in the fall is a piece of cake. Pumpkin patches, Hayrides, hell even the leaves in your front lawn are garunteed to get you to those thriple digits.

9. Football

In high school football makes the perfect Friday night but once you get to college football takes on a whole new meaning. Football means tailgates which is the only reason you would ever get up earlier than 11 on a Saturday. Most of the time you don't even make it through the actual football game. The tailgate is the main event, and after it ends its time for a nice nap.

10. Halloween

You've been planning you're costume all year long. It's okay to admit it, we all have. Because Halloween is and always has been one of the best holidays. You get to be whatever/whoever you want. You can play around with makeup looks, or keep it simple.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
