Siblings are bound to fight, and sisters can easily get at each other’s throats. Whether it involves someone’s missing favorite sweater or premenstrual cat fight, sister’s will literally drive each other cray. Throughout our years, we have lost friends, made new ones, and lost those ones too. A sister will always be consistent. Here is to appreciating the blood bond that brought you two together. Here are 10 reasons why your sister should be your best friend.

1. An additional closet

If you’re anything like me, you love clothes. Being close with your sister means the ultimate double closet dream. Walking into the bedroom next door is essentially the same as going shopping.

2. Always takes your side

Any outside conflict will immediately be double teamed with the help of your sister. The two of you may fight but she always has your back.

3. Has talents that you don’t have

Maybe it’s doing makeup really well, or being able to do the perfect french braid, I am sure your sister is better than you at some things. Jealousy is normal but appreciate your access to her talents.

4. Always there for advice

If anything is ever wrong, chances are your sister is right there with you. Living with a friend always gives you someone to rely on.

5. Covering for you

Chances are if you have a good relationship with your sister, they will always cover for you in front of your parents. Be cool for them too. Make a truce.

6. Having a friend on family vacation

We all always want to go on vacation with our friends, but if we are close with our sisters, it makes it easy and fun without the hassle of making plans with other people.

7. Workout Buddy

Motivation is good, and friendly competition between the two of you will make you both more determined and healthy.

8. They Have Friends Too

Being friends with your sister’s friends gives you a whole other group of people to hang out with. It’s fun to be involved with more than one group.

9. No One Understands you Better than your sister

You live together, have the same family, same life style. If anyone can understand you and know you, it is your sister.

10. You automatically have your maid of honor

Being close with your sister is so important. Ignore the petty fights and appreciate the friendship that will always be there and last a lifetime.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
