Whether you faithfully watched "Gossip Girl" from the day that it aired until the day we said goodbye to our favorite Upper East Siders or have just recently binge-watched all six seasons on Netflix over the course of two weeks, there is no denying that you're totally and completely obsessed. "Gossip Girl" has been around since before the ages of iPhones and Instagram but for obvious reasons, the world will never EVER be over the show that had more candles, passion and wealth than any other portrayel of Manhattan's elite.
1. They are your family.
Serena, Blair, Chuck, Nate, and Dan literally grew up before your eyes. You saw their good times, bad times, and everything in between. Even though you weren’t on the show, you consider yourself an upper east sider part of their ultimate squad.
2. Life on the Upper East Side is too exciting.
The wealth, scandals and parties are way cooler than anything in your hometown and watching GG gives you a sense of happiness and excitement that fills a certain void that's missing from your life.
3. Chuck and Blair
Three words. Eight letters.
4. The drama.
Whether it was a blast from Gossip Girl, Bart Bass dying more than once, Serena getting in trouble or Chuck and Blair playing their games, you were always on your toes.
5. You secretly love Georgina.
As much as you hate her, you know she’s cool and you can’t help the fact that you are completely obsessed with her.
As much as you hate her, you know she’s cool and you can’t help the fact that you are completely obsessed with her.
6. It is motivating.
Watching Gossip Girl inspires you to go to college (for a few episodes and then never go back?), get a degree and buy a bunch of hotels. If all that fails, just become a socialite and drink your way into this world that you know you were born to be a part of.
7. The characters are so attractive.
How is it possible for someone to be as beautiful as Blake Lively or Leighton Meester? Or as handsome as Chase Crawford?! Are you kidding me?!
8. Season six.
You know you can't control you emotions through those ten episodes as the drama unfolds and everything falls into place.
9. Ed Westwick.
Need I say more?
10. Netflix.
Thanks to the most wonderful gift from God, Netflix, you can watch GG anytime and anywhere.
