Wave goodbye to the scorch and say hello to the warm! I know…I know, it’s tough to say goodbye to our beloved summer, but lets all be real…we’re all super excited for fall. As the end of September slips past us, lets begin wipe away those “bye to the beach” tears and get ready for cozy sweaters, and tasty drinks.

1. Everyday is picture perfect

Looking out your window is like looking directly into a Nicholas Sparks movie background. Bright reds, yellows, and greens fill our surroundings. Perfectly shaped trees, brush and flowers flourish everywhere. Let’s just say fall couldn't take a bad selfie.

2. Until next time bikini body

Winter and Spring made sure you were body ready for summer, but guess what?! Hitting the gym thrice a week, and passing up that whip cream topping on your Starbucks days are o-v-e-r. Fall gives you that three month break to indulge in those snacks you probably shouldn't have, and gives you that relaxation you need. Sorry Winter…making sure I stay in shape is your responsibility.

3. Sweater season

It’s time to bust out those cable-knits, cashmeres, and quarter zips, cause its sweater weather baby! Nothing feels better than a comfy oversized sweater for a semi chilly day!

4. All pumpkin, everything pumpkin

Oh come on, don’t act like you haven't been waiting all year for pumpkin spice lattes!! Now’s the time to admit we’re all a little basic. Chances are if you’re a human being, you love pumpkin flavor. Pies, spice cakes, casseroles, ice cream, the dishes are endless.

5. Halloween AND Thanksgiving

Two amazing holidays not even a whole month away?! What did we do to get so lucky? #blessed.

6. So many activities

Nothing beats picking that perfect orange pumpkin on a warm sunny autumn day. Nothing beats hopping into the back of a hay filled wagon for a festive hayride. Nothing beats fall fairs, apple bobbing, and DIY wreath making. Basically nothing beats fall activities.

7. Sunny and 68

Fall is the perfect temperature. Not too hot, not too cold. That little bit of breeze, and perfect spot of sun makes everyday an enjoyable day.

8. SO MUCH COZY OMG!!

Those warm fuzzy socks in your top drawer have been waiting to make an appearance all year! That sweater in your closet is ready to be shown off. Those furry boots in the bottom of your bin are dying to be worn. That huge blanket in your chest needs you. Fall brings everything soft and snuggly… and I’m so ready to get cozy!

9. Bonfires, bonfires, bonfires

That first shelf in the supermarket isn't filled with graham crackers and mallows for no reason!! Fall bonfires are just too perfect. That crisp wooden fire smell, the melting of the chocolate running down your hand, the amazing illustration of the flames at your feet… indescribable.

10. Fresh air

Hallelujah we can breathe! Fall is one of two times in the year where the fresh air makes it easy to breathe. Plus, that outdoorsy fall smell is so pleasant.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
