Though Tree Hill isn't a real town, religious viewers of Nathan, Haley, Peyton, Lucas and Brooke were captivated by the North Carolina teens. Compiled below is a list of ten reasons One Tree Hill fans wish that the tight-knit community of Tree Hill really did exist.
1. To witness the Scott Dynasty in all their glory on and off the basketball court.
2. We could witness (and be jealous of) the intensely romantic Lucas/Peyton, Nathan/Haley, Clay/Quinn relationships.
3. We could actually frequent the real Clothes Over Bros store and meet the way-too-cool for us, Brooke Davis.
4. We could finally ask why Peyton has a webcam livestreaming into her bedroom.
5. Babysitting the adorable Jamie Scott could be a foreseeable reality.
6. We could have our morning coffee at Karen's Cafe.
7. We could have attended the coveted Boy Toy Auction and tried our hands at stealing Nathan, Lucas, or any of the Tree Hill High basketball players.
8. For some reason, there were always really cool artists that visited the obscure little North Carolina town (hello, Gavin DeGraw?!) so we could have went to some awesome, private concerts.
9. We could slap Dan Scott in the face for treating Nathan, Karen, Lucas, and Keith (among others) like crap. Then probably accept his apology because we started to like him towards the end.
10. All we really want to do is shoot around at the River Court.
The characters of One Tree Hill made us fall in love with a small, basketball-crazed town and all the stories within it. Between Lucas's love life, Brooke's strength, and Peyton's moodiness, OTH made us tune into the documented lives of high school friends, long after they leave the hallowed halls and leave the basketball uniforms and pom poms behind. If only the fictional city was real could we relive and revisit the past of the show that left us with nine seasons. But if we have to settle, One Tree Hill fans really only want to know that answer to one question: who do you want standing next to you when all your dreams come true?
