10 Reasons Why Spring Can't Come Fast Enough
Where Is the Outrage

Can you imagine, having warm days, birds chirping, and a nice cool breeze touch your face? Can you see yourself walking around, enjoying the fresh air, with just a light jacket on, or not one at all? Oh right, that was you the other week.

With such a late coming winter, too many snow and rain storms, it is about time that spring arrived. Clocks have turned back, Groundhog Day has come and gone, but still, we have a fluctuating weather forecast, and I know I am not the only one craving warm weather! There are so many nice things that come with seasonal allergies this time of year, and you and I know it!

1. The "season-change" feeling.

Winter can be super depressing. It is cold and weary, making it really hard to leave your bed. But when the season is changing, nature becomes alive, and beautiful after such a dreary winter. The birds start chirping, and the sunsets are to die for. This amazing feeling is almost like life goes on, and the waiting period of winter is over!

2. School is almost out.

By the time spring is springing, you probably have already taken midterms, and had a nice week off (because we all know that college campuses do not believe in having Spring Break, in the spring). This means the countdown to summer has began. You have reached the half way mark, and you can hear the beach calling your name.

3. Um, shoes... duh.

I don't know about you but spring shoe attire is some serious stuff. I'm the type to go shopping in February for my spring shoes because that means flats and wedges! From my recent shopping escapade, I have seen some new trends, check them out! Don't you love them?

4. There are reasons to celebrate.

No matter your age, St. Patrick's Day and Cinco De Mayo are the funnest holidays to celebrate during the spring season. They are the perfect excuses to go out, have fun with friends and take a whole bunch of selfies. Not to mention the green galore, beads and sombreros! The plus to these celebrations are the food and booze (if you're of age), that you will actually have an excuse to consume!

5. There is still hope!

Although there is hope for summer coming soon, there is also hope for your beach body! Spring is the season you can enjoy while still having just enough time to hit the gym and build your abs for that little bikini haunting you in your drawer.

6. It's sunroof weather!

With warmer weather and beautiful scenes of nature, driving gets a bit more enjoyable in the spring. If you live where it snows, congratulations, you don't have wake up twenty minutes early to clean off your car, warm it up, or use your heated seats! Now you can enjoy the blooming flowers, budding trees and sun peeking through the clouds, as you drive down an open road with the windows down and radio blasting.

7. Spring cleaning means you find all the things you've been missing.

Springtime means your town probably does a "clean-up week" allowing you to put anything and everything on the front lawn to clean house. Even though you do this every year, you'll probably find the sock, jacket, phone charger and show you've been missing for six months.

8. You can dress to impress!

Even though I always say to dress well in order to boost confidence, the attire for spring weather is just different. The brighter colors, cute sundresses and little cardigans to match are so exciting. Fun patterns, pastel purses and NAKED 3 palette eyeshadow to match just makes an outfit scream, "Spring is Here".

9. The smells of fresh cut grass and blooming flowers.

Yes, I have allergies so grass is not the first thing I look forward to when spring arrives. But, the buzzing of lawn mowers in the neighborhood is a sign that spring is coming! People begin taking care of their property again, plating their gardens, and brightening up the streets. It's better than hearing snow plows and snow blowers, right?

10. A time of renewal.

As winter comes to a close and all of these fabulous changes happen in nature, there are so many changes that we can make to ourselves and our lives. No one ever says, "yay, winter is here, I'm going to go to the gym everyday". It just doesn't work like that because we all know that we will not move from our couches. But when brighter, warmer days come along, we can decide to hope for success in our careers or be more active, or help the community. When our environment is optimistic, we become optimistic.

Spring is coming, slowly, but it is coming! So use this season as a way to move forward, be eager for tomorrow and enjoy the little things in life that we are so blessed to be able to see not only during season changes, but each in every day. Be thankful today, and for tomorrow.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.

15 Things That Happen On Your Birthday

Do you have a small get-together or throw a big bash?

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.
