We all need a feel good show that we know will provide a great laugh and is great for a rainy day binge watching session (or any day that is!) Parks and Recreation is just that show. By the time you finish the show (all seven seasons are now on Netflix! *excited dancing*), you will find yourself convincing anyone and everyone to join in on the joy of watching Parks and Rec. From the amazing story line to the catchy theme song, you’ll love Parks and Recreation more than Leslie Knope hates Eagleton!

Disclaimer: There are some show spoilers in this article if you have not finished all seven seasons: you have been warned!

1. No matter how your day has gone, Parks and Rec is always there for you.

Just like Leslie and Ann are always there for each other, you can come home from anything, turn on Parks and Rec, and feel like you’re spending time with your best friends. Because all of the characters form a huge family on the show and can cheer you up with any episode, you’ll feel like you’re at home with your own family.

2. It's more fun than you think to use all of the catch phrases in your everyday life.

Whether you want to, “treat yo’ self,” celebrate, “galentine’s day,” or blame Jerry/Larry/Lenny/Terry/Berry for anything bad that happens, you’ll find yourself quoting the Parks and Rec characters whenever you can.

3. Everyone can find their spirit animal.

Are you powerful, confident, and silly like Leslie; dorky, calzone-loving and cute like Ben; sarcastic and independent like April; clueless and always cheerful like Andy; meat-obsessed and hardworking like Ron; clumsy and misunderstood like Jerry; modern and full of swag like Tom; confident and fun like Donna; fun and loving like Ann; or full of energy and loyal like Chris? No matter who you are, I guarantee that you’ll find someone you can identify with on Parks and Rec and it’s pretty much like watching a show about you and all of your best friends.

4. April and Andy and Leslie and Ben will forever be #couplegoalsaf

These two power couples are the definition of adorable. The way Andy and April are the perfect “cat and dog” couple is flawless, and seeing Ben’s undying love for Leslie and Leslie’s obsession with Ben’s cute butt is the cutest thing ever. They compliment each other perfectly and every scene between them will make you go, “aweeee!”

5. Ron Swanson is basically amazing.

Ron Swanson is the simple, meat loving, wood carving, government-hating Parks and Recreation department manager. Although Ron seems a bit harsh and rough around the edges, you’ll fall in love with the fact the deep down, he truly loves everybody who works in Parks and Recreation-- even Leslie.

6. And Leslie Knope is even better

Leslie Knope is the definition of a strong woman. Leslie is determined about everything she does and never takes the easy road. From making a scrapbook for every occasion she shares with Ann, to getting Ben the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones for their anniversary, you will find that Leslie Knope is one of the most inspiring woman to ever live. You will want Leslie as your best friend by the end of the first episode.

7. Chris Traeger and Ann Perkins are also lit'rally #couplegoalsaf

Seeing Chris and “AnnPerkins” grow in their relationship will seriously give you the feels. Chris and Ann are already two perfect human beings, as Leslie would say, and seeing them together will make you wish that you could have what they have. You will have so much love for the two of them that the moment they leave very well might be one of the saddest moments of your life.

8. Jean Ralphio and Mona Lisa Saperstein will make you break out in song over just about everything (if you don't already do that).

Jean Ralphio and Mona Lisa are the definition of comic relief. This brother and sister duo will give you reason to sing about everything that happens to you. Whether you’re singing about how you want money, Mona Lisa’s favorite genre of music, or just about how you’re walking to the bathroom, Jean Ralphio and Mona Lisa will brighten your day and give you a serious case of laughter.

9. You will fall in love with every character and feel like they are your best friends (including Lil' Sebastian).

By the end of season seven of Parks and Rec, you won’t know what to do with yourself (besides rewatch the series!) We have become so close to everyone in the show and are now so attached to everyone’s stories. You will feel just as sad as Leslie Knope did when Lil’ Sebastian died and will miss seeing the amazing lives of everyone in the great Pawnee, Indiana.

10. You should treat yo' self with a great show

Take the advice of Donna Meagle and Tom Haverford when they say, "Treat yo’ self!" Parks and Recreation is a feel good show and you will not regret being a part of the journey of the Parks and Recreation department as you enjoy watching seven wonderful seasons. Everyone needs a good laugh at the end of the day, so get your fix and go binge watch Parks and Recreation!

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.
