10 Reasons Why I Love My Dogs With All My Heart
Nicholas Caron

A dog is true blessing. Sure, they may sniff your butt and drink out of your toilet, but their friendship is irreplaceable. I love my dogs with all my heart, and here are 10 reasons why...

A dog doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor, smart or dumb. Give him your heart…and he’ll give you his.
—Milo Gathema

1. They are always happy to see you.

Maybe you're coming home from college, a long day at work, or maybe you were only gone for a minute to go to the bathroom...it makes no difference to your dog. They are ALWAYS excited to see you!

2. They are genuinely concerned for your well-being.

They comfort you when you cry and check on you when you're sick. They see you at your best and they see you at your worst. Even in your darkest moments, they will remain by your side (and give you lots of kisses).

When an eighty-five pound mammal licks your tears away, then tries to sit on your lap, it’s hard to feel sad.
—Kristan Higgins

3. They love you unconditionally.

They will always love you and cheer you up. Somehow dogs always know what to do to show you that they care.

4. They do cool tricks.

You can teach dogs all kinds of cool tricks and they love to learn (as long as you have plenty of treats, of course!) Dogs also teach you a trick or two as well. How to love, be loyal, and always happy; these are the lessons you can learn from your furry companion(s). The world would be a better place if humans acted more like dogs.

Everything I know, I learned from dogs.
—Nora Roberts

5. They make you laugh.

They are full of life and love and happiness. Dogs bring so many smiles and so much laughter into the world.

Dogs laugh, but they laugh with their tails.
-Max Eastman

6. They let you spoil them.

They sit beside you while you eat, look into your eyes, tilt their head ever so slightly, and wait for you to toss them a bite of chicken (or two).

7. They love to play.

Whether you go to the park, play fetch, volley ball, or just go for a ride in the car, you'll always have a friend by your side.

8. They give you lots of kisses.

Its their slobbery way of showing affection. Embrace it. Even though its kind of gross, you know you love it.

9. Warning: they steal your bed.

Leg room is optional when it comes to doggies. They love to snuggle and the bed is so much more comfortable than the floor. How could you say 'no' to that sweet face? Sacrifice your comfortable sleeping arrangements to make your dog happy- it's the least you could do.

10. They enjoy the little things in life.

Dogs are happy 24/7. They enjoy the little things in life like sticking their head out the window of a moving vehicle, taking naps on the couch, and eating popsicles on a hot summer day.

Tell your fur babies how much you love them!

He may only be here for a part of your life...but for him, you are his whole life.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
