With the Golden Globes last weekend, awards season is now in full swing. The 2016 Oscar nominations were released recently, and I’m personally so excited about it! The Revenant has a whopping 12 nominations, including a Best Picture nod and a Best Actor nod for Leonardo DiCaprio. Leo has been nominated other times in the past, but has yet to actually win an Academy Award. Hopefully this year that fact is going to change! Here are 10 reasons why Leonardo DiCaprio should win the Oscar for Best Actor in 2016:

1. He hasn’t won one yet.

For decades, Leo has been making a wide range of great movies, and they have all, for the most part, been well-received by both critics and audiences. It’s surprising he has not won an Oscar by now.

2. Most of his films are Oscar-worthy.

From Titanic to Django Unchained to The Revenant and everything in between, not only have the movies themselves been great, but his acting is superb. He has made phenomenal movies in the past, and I’m sure there are more to come.

3. He is absolute perfection.

Okay, so this may not be a valid reason for winning an Oscar, but it needs to be mentioned. I mean, his sparkling blue eyes just get me every damn time, and he just gets better with age.

4. He’s talented.

Leo has been making films starting at a very young age, and he knows what works and what doesn’t. He doesn’t just act like a character, he becomes the character.

5. His goal is never to win an Oscar, but to make a great film.

He has spoken publicly a few times about how humbled he feels when his fans are upset about him not winning an Oscar. He says that he makes his films for them, not for the award (though I’m pretty confident he wouldn’t turn it down if one was offered to him).

6. He won the Golden Globe this year.

There’s a reason he won that award: because his performance was great and he deserves recognition for it. So hopefully Hollywood Foreign Press’ decision will carry over to the Academy. #CrossingMyFingers

7. Because as, Jack Dawson once told me to say, “I’ll never let go.”

As a true Leo fan, I’m on the edge of my seat, patiently waiting for him to win an Oscar. And I will never stop believing in him.

8. He was extraordinary in 'The Revenant'.

He acted beautifully. ‘Nuff said.

9. He puts in the effort.

For example, in The Revenant, Leo’s character eats raw meat in once scene, and Leo, instead of eating a gelatin prop, he chooses to eat actual raw bison liver. It really shows his dedication to his craft, and his reaction to eating the meat is as real as can be.

10. He’s earned it.

Do I really need to explain why?

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
