10 Reasons Why Ladies Love The Country Boy

1. The accent.
If "Howdy darling" spoken in a deep southern tone doesn't make you weak in the knees, then you don't know what you're missing.

2. His work ethic.
Now, I'm not saying other men don't work as hard as those who grew up in the country, but let's be realistic here – I've never seen anyone work harder. Here's to their ability to fix almost anything with their own two hands (without instructions, mind you). Growing up in the country means he possesses a plethora of skills, and you'll never find anyone more resourceful or determined.

3. His smile.

That oh-so sweet smile. You know the one I'm talking about; it catches your eye and draws you in before you even know him.

4. The best dance partners around.

I don't know how all of them manage to have country dancin' on lock, but they do. It's almost as if they have some secret dude meet up where they all learn how to two-step and do the fancy spins...and however they do it, they've got it down. Don't even get me started on the ones who, in addition to dancing, can sing AND play guitar – y'all are definitely doing somethin' right.

5. His appreciation for the outdoors.
If he was raised in the country, chances are he has a greater appreciation than most for the outdoors. This includes all of the animals, nature, long days working in the sun, the entirety of our beloved wide open spaces and all of its glory, etc. From sunrise to sunset, workin', huntin', fishin' – he does it all and he lives for it.

6. The truck.
I'd like your city boy try to pull a trailer, go mudding, or attempt the ever desired "stargazing in the bed of his truck" date in his Ford Focus. Nice try, but it won't happen. Bottom line, there's just something about a truck.

7. His tough exterior.
Physically, mentally, and emotionally, country guys are some of the toughest you'll ever meet. All of those hours spent performing various acts of manual labor are displayed for all to see by his farmer's tan and super fit bod. They never have to hit the gym because they're constantly out doing real men's work. He won't stand for nonsense and he knows how to protect himself and those he cares for. You never know a country boy's true strength until it's too late. They say don't mess with Texas; more like don't mess with the mighty men of the country.

8. His sweetheart interior.
For such tough men I don't understand how they posses such sweet hearts, but my oh my, they always do. Country boys are some of the most considerate, polite and genuine men out there. They don't let everyone see their sweet side which makes him even more admirable when you catch a glimpse of it. They know how to treat their ladies. They say spending copious amounts of time outdoors works wonders on your mental health, and I'm convinced that has a lot to do with it, but honestly, my money is on the sweet mamas who raised the boys we fall so hard for.

9. He's gonna be a family man.
We really do owe it all to the parents of our beloved country boys. From day one, mama teaches him how to love and be compassionate while his daddy teaches him all the "tough guy" dad stuff. The way his dad treats his mom will have a huge impact on how he treats the lovely lady in his life. His years and years of hard work have taught him how to prioritize, and you better believe he's always going to put his God and his family first.

10. His manners.
From the very beginning, you're taken back by all of the "yes ma'ams" and him holding open every door for you. From giving you his jacket when you're cold to actually walking up to your door to pick you up for a date. These are the guys who shake your daddy's hand and understand the importance of respect. These are the ones who still possess that chivalrous trait so many ladies search for.

Here's to you fellas, we sure do appreciate you.

I've known you your entire life. More than likely I held you in the first three days of it and at least one of us cried. Cousins are truly one of the best things in the world and while sometimes I complain about how many people crowd Grandma's living room on Christmas Eve, I wouldn't trade you all anything.

You are my best friends, the only people who can understand what it's like on Thanksgiving, and you are the spunkiest people I have ever met. But you as so so young, most of you are just now starting your adventures in the public education system. I mean, I'm so very young too. I'm not married, I don't have children, heck, I just started my adult life, but I do want to give you what little advice I have. My dears, these are the things I want you to know.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.
