Cats are better than dogs. There, I said it. Honestly, all animals are great. Fur babies are real babies in my eyes and I would treat any animal equally in my house, but I just happen to prefer cats. They're all crazy in their own way, they nap a ton and basically care for themselves. Overall, cats are just the best pet to have, and I wouldn't trade my lil ones for the world.

1. Kittens are basically the cutest beings on the planet.

If you don't think kittens are adorable, there is probably something wrong with you.

2. Cats on catnip...

Cats are cool enough to have their own little animal drug and it's hilarious how crazy they can get.

3. CUDDLES

Some of us are lucky enough to have cuddly cats who will cuddle up to their furry friends, and even family. Fluffy little animals curled up to you should be the definition of cozy!

4. Cat Naps

Cats nap more than a college student after finals week... and that's saying something. They're the perfect nap partner and don't require much attention.

5. Litter Boxes

You have to take dogs outside, cats literally find their own bathroom and adapt to using it with little-to-no training. Some cats can even be trained to use the toilet... and flush! That's just a little too weird for my liking.

6. They know their family

I could be gone for weeks at college, and I will still come home to my cat purring, sleeping in my bed every night and following my every step. They know who is there for them, and usually they won't forget.

7. They're so comforting

Cats are known to be there for their owners when they are sick. They know when someone is upset and usually are right there to comfort them right when they are needed.

8. Cats don't smell like dogs do

"Wet dog smell," mmmmhhh. Yeah, cats don't have that and generally just smell like whatever your house smells like, but the same thing doesn't always happen with dogs.

9. Cats are funnier than dogs

Name one dog that would climb on their owners head while they're in the bathroom... it's hilarious

10. They're basically a liquid and a solid

They can form to their surroundings and have no problem making themselves comfortable anywhere, anytime.

Cats have endless amazing qualities that make them the adorable, loving pet they are.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
