10 Reasons Why Gilmore Girls Coming to Netflix is the Best Thing Ever to Happen... Like Ever.

Ā  Ā Ā

Netflix bingers rejoice, the Gilmore Girls have arrived! As of October 1st Netflix is streaming all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls. Fans can now relive the lives of Lorelai and Rory. There are more reasons to re-watch the series than the number of times Rory and Dean broke up and got back together. Hereā€™s the top ten reasons we could all benefit from a vacation back to Stars Hollow.

1. You need to re-watch it just to understand what they were saying.

With the average script length per episode being twice as long as the average script, itā€™s easy to miss some of the fast paced coffee talk!

2.Ā The witty pop-culture references.

From an endless stream of band references to TV and Film references, Gilmore Girls certainly packs it all in! You can learn quite a bit about pop culture history just by watching one episode.Ā

3.Ā KirkĀ

No explanation needed.

4.Ā Lorelaiā€™s Incredible fashion senseā€¦ and seriously, has Lauren Graham EVER had a bad hair day?Ā

5.Ā Melissa McCarthy before she got BIG! (ā€¦errr I mean famous)

A lot of people got their big break on Gilmore Girls. From Jane Lynch to Krysten Ritter, Seth Mcfarlane to Nick Offerman, and even the stars like Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, I think its safe to say Melissa definitely takes the cake (probably the whole cake) as far as most success goes.

6.Ā Roryā€™s RelationshipsĀ

Because no matter who you are, you have an opinion on who Rory should have ended up with. And you will stick to that opinion until the day you die.Ā

7.Ā Emily GilmoreĀ

Because, although, you were supposed to hate her, she is secretly your favorite character. Her sharp cutting wit and elitist socialite attitude mixed with snarky remarks and a general disapproval of most things makes for some pretty hilarious dialogue.Ā

8.Ā Because sometimes you just need a cup of coffee.

9.Ā Because itā€™s always fall in Stars Hollow.

Why are there no seasons in this town? I mean occasionally it snows, but where are spring and summer??Ā

10. Because where they lead, you will follow.Ā

We grew up with the Gilmore Girls, we became invested in their lives and have gone through their experiences. Because Roryā€™s meltdown in her senior year at Yale finally makes sense to you. And most importantly because we all want a relationship like Luke and Lorelaiā€™s.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
