1. It's acceptable to stay in all day because it's rainy and cold.

During the fall in college, it's easier to force yourself to complete your homework when the inside of the library looks cozier than it is outside. During warmer months it's common to procrastinate by being out in the sun. Not to mention, if you just want to have a day watching netflix, you can use the weather as an excuse.

2. Halloween and Thanksgiving

Halloween is focused around dressing up in costume and getting buckets of candy and Thanksgiving is gathering around a feast of food. What's not to like? If you're not constantly in a food coma throughout fall, you're doing it wrong.

3. The Leaves

As the season changes, so do the leaves. In the PNW, nothing is more beautiful than seeing this transformation and crunching the leave with your new fall boots.

4. The return of American Horror Story

A favorite show of the masses, AHS, returns for it's 6th season. Grab your pumpkin spice flavored treats and cuddle up with your friends for a night of screams and bad dreams.

5. Bath and Body Works's new fall candle line

Every fall Bath and Body Works come out with a brand new line of fall scented candles. Fall is not complete without binge buying these to make your room super cozy.

6. The return of your warm clothes

We all have those sweaters that we stare at all summer, wishing we could wear. Fall has finally come and it's time to break out your seasonal wardrobe. Grab your boots, thigh high socks, and jackets. You'll look nothing short of a fall Pinterest board.

7. Change in Weather

After a summer of heat, rain and brisk breeze can be a relief. The smell of the first rain is always magical. Enjoy it while it lasts.

8. Bye bye sweat!

A change in weather means a change in body temperature. No more pit stains or melting faces. At least not until next year.

9. Fall Sports

Football games are always fun to attend in college, especially with your friends! Grab your most spirited outfit and make your way to the stadium. Get excited for those obnoxious fans and that greasy food!

10. Closer to Christmas

Halloween and Thanksgiving are great but let's face it, Christmas is the main event. The faster fall flies by, the faster Christmas and Santa will come around.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
