10 Reasons Why Dogs Are The Greatest Things On Earth
My Sweet Puppy

Chances are I chose to write about this topic to just have an excuse to look at cute pictures of dogs. However, most people can agree that dogs are the greatest things to walk this earth. They truly can be a man/woman's best friend and here are a few reasons why they are the best.

1. They are just plain adorable.

Anyone can agree that dogs are adorable. Big, little, fluffy, etc., dogs are cute. Puppies are always an added bonus!

2. They are always down to cuddle.

No boyfriend? No problem. Just buy a cute little dog and you have a cuddle buddy for life! Dogs always love to cuddle, so don't be discouraged if your dog is big— they still love us humans!

3. They can make you laugh.

Dogs sometimes do crazy things that can make you laugh. Whether you've had a bad day or a bad week, coming home to a dog can be the perfect remedy.

4. Dogs are always ready to listen.

If all your friends are busy, no worries, your dog will be ready to listen. They may not be able to respond to your problems, but that may be for the best anyway.

5. Dogs will always choose you.

Being an owner of a dog means you always have a best friend. The best feeling is coming home after a long day and seeing your puppy so excited to see you. Whether you've been gone for five hours or five minutes, they are as happy as ever that you're finally back!

6. They always want to go on an adventure.

Car rides, long walks and heading to the beach—dogs are always ready to do something fun. And more importantly, they love to do whatever you want! They also make great travel partners wherever you go.

7. They make for great pictures.

Looking to get a lot of likes on Instagram? No problem, just post a selfie with your pup. Everyone loves dogs and will be sure to love the adorable picture of you and your dog. On the flip side, getting that perfect picture might take some patience, because dogs never really know what's going on.

8. Dogs are great motivators.

Don't feel like working out? Not motivated to go on that run? No worries, your dog still wants to. It's always an added bonus if you need to take your dog for a walk anyway!

9. They know when you're down.

A dog can sense when their owner is feeling blue and they will always be around for cuddles when you just need a good cry. Like mentioned before, they always listen when you just need to talk too!

10. Did I mention they're adorable?

Maybe this one is another excuse to share some more cute dog pictures. But I know if you've made it this far in the article, you'll love one more cute puppy.

Maybe dogs aren't for everyone, but they do make great best friends. Even if you don't actually own a dog right now, hopefully these pictures and gifs make your day like they did mine!

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
