Dogs are always talked about as being "man's best friend" and I couldn't agree more. They are one of the greatest gifts on this earth.

1. They're cuddly.

Dogs love & crave attention and love from humans. These work as a win win for us. They need attention and we love cuddling with them.

2. They're good listeners

Dogs are the ideal listeners. You can talk to them all day long and they won't talk back to you. That basically means they agree with you, which is perfect.

3. They know when you're sad.

Dogs have this great way of knowing when something is wrong. They will always be there to cheer you up. They can always make you happy.

4. They always make you laugh

Dogs are always doing funny things and are constantly making us laugh. They keep us entertained and always keep a smile on our face.

5. Dogs are always excited to see you

Just like in The Secret Life of Pets, your dogs can't wait for you to come home! They are always so exited to see you.

6. You can't stay mad at them

No matter what they break or how bad they misbehave, we can never stay mad at our dogs. They always give us those puppy dog eyes, and it works every time.

7. They'll protect you

Dogs will go to any length to protect us. Even if it is from the mail man or the UPS guy.

8. They will love you forever

Dogs love is the best we can experience. They love us unconditionally and always will.

9. They are extremely loyal

Through out life, people may leave you. But your dog will never leave you and be forever loyal.

10. "He might only be here for a part of your life, but for him, you're his whole life"

This quote hits hard. You mean everything to your pet and you are his whole life. Do not take that for granted.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
