There is nothing like a burrito bowl after late night classes, although with the recent outbreak of e-coli that made me go to Moe's for a short period of time, Chipotle fans extended forgiveness and since have been back again. 15 pounds later, I am still screaming Chipotle is better whenever the question is brought up.
1. Quality
Moe's rice is sketchy and bland, while the flavors and herbs used in Chipotle rice are very apparent and usually linger -- that's how good it is. I usually can't tell if it's brown or white. The chicken is usually dry with not a lot of flavor. I guess that's the reason they over filled their toppings bar with different salsas that no one wants.
2. Meat selection
Moe's tried to make up for it by having unnecessary salsas, but the truth of the matter is Chipotle has more options. They offer barbequoa and carnitas which explode with flavors.
3. Portion size
Chipotle's burrito is way bigger than Moe's, making the price point fair.
4. Customer service
Most of their employees won't mind giving you another scoop of meat if you ask nicely. At Moe's, after a while becomes annoying, especially when the employees are being forced to say it in that tired, unenergetic voice.
5. Environmentally friendly
From their employee T-shirts to recyclable bowls, they respect the environment.
6. The guacamole
Your meal will not be complete without the guacamole made with fresh ingredients that you can usually taste. A few bucks, extra but it's so worth it.
7. Speed
No matter how long the lines are on the weekend, I'm usually in and out.
8. Food with integrity
You don't feel guilty by eating their food because you know they are made with the freshest ingredients possible.
9. The decor
If your Snapchatters didn't know any better, they would honesty think you are in a fine dining restaurant.
10. Support local farmers
They created a 10 million dollar initiative so local farmers can meet their strict food safety standards.
Moe's just doesn't cut it. Sorry.
