harleston, South Carolina has repeatedly been named one of the most beautiful cities in the United States. It draws visitors from all parts of the world with its food, beaches, and kind people. It is the gem of the South that's for sure! It is a great place for a tourist day, vacation, or even to somewhere to consider moving to. I love every second I spend in this city. Here is while Charleston will never disappoint...

1. The Beach

Folly Beach

The Isle of Palms

Sullivan's Island Beach

These are three amazing beaches that you can choose to go to. You really can't go wrong with any of them, so you might as well just switch among all three and repeat.

2. The Battery

The perfect walking spot on a sunny day and the best spot to really embrace Charleston's history.

3. Coffee shops galore

From Collective in Mount Pleasant to Black Tap Coffee downtown, you never really can go wrong with coffee here. They all have great environments to talk with friends, study, or even maybe go on a date.

4. The food & seafood if that is your thing.

There are so many restaurants to choose from that also have a ton of diversity. Along with just the simple fact that there is incredible food since you're in a beach city you get the added bonus of seafood!

5. Downtown Charleston

You can eat, shop, get some ice cream, and drink a coffee all in the same place. A day downtown can never disappoint

6. The Weather

It seems to always be warm in Charleston. I mean hey, right now it is the middle of January and it's 75 degrees most days.

7. Photography Opportunities

Do you like to take pictures? Then Charleston is definitely for you! There is water, beautiful trees, abandoned buildings, and historical everything. Bring your friends and get some great shots!

8. History, History, History

You can visit Fort Sumter and swing by to see the H.L Hunley. I mean even just take a walk, carriage ride, or maybe even go on a ghost tour at night while downtown. Anywhere you go you are breathing in the history.

9. Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge

No one could ever get tired of driving over this beautiful bridge and looking out over the city and seeing the water. You can even walk it, run it, or bike it!

10. The Market

Also another great place to be at downtown where you can buy tons of local goods from jewelry to t-shirts to hand woven baskets. You will never be disappointed with what you leave here with.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
