Everyone knows the show "One Tree Hill" and I've never personally met someone who watched it and didn't love it. The show is life changing. I have learned so much from this show and what I have discovered is high school is the best time to watch this show because there are so many lessons to be learned from it.

1. It teaches you the hardships of being a teenager in high school.

Because sometimes adults don’t get how hard it is to be a teen.

2. It teaches you how easy it is to gain true friends and also to lose friends you thought were going to be lifelong friends.

.

In high school, you never know who your real friends are. You start school with one group of people, but maybe you end high school with a completely different group.

3. "One Tree Hill" doesn’t sugar coat things, it shows what high school is all about.

4. It shows you how much you can change from high school to the time you’re a grown up.

Brooke Davis was the one who changed the most from her days at Tree Hill High to day she graduated.

5. It teaches you that no matter what, you’re going to be OK.

Take Nathan and Haley, for example: They got married at 17, had a baby during their high school graduation and had countless fights, but guess what? They were OK through everything. Even when nobody believed they could get through it.

6. Tree Hill high is your getaway.

Through the gang’s years at high school, they had relationships nobody liked, friends none of them liked, but in the end, they all came through for each other even when they had to say, “I told you so.”

7. They teach you that you’ll always have your best friend by your side.

Peyton Sawyer and Brooke Davis are and always will be your best friend goals. Those two went through everything together. Sure they got in a few fights, but who doesn’t? They were in a love triangle and still got through that and had the best friendship. So don’t argue when someone says they are goals.

8. It also teaches you that it doesn’t matter what age you fall in love.

It doesn’t matter how old you are when you fall in love, "One Tree Hill" made that clear. Brooke Davis had many boyfriends but found her one person to love at a good age, Lucas and Peyton fell in love young but waited, Nathan and Haley didn’t waste any time. Those two realized they were meant to be and got married right away. So no, it doesn’t matter how old you are, just be happy with whoever it is.

9. It teaches you that friends are everything.

The whole gang had messed up families. Nathan’s parents weren’t good for each other. Brooke’s parents fought every time they were together, Peyton’s mom died when she was young and her dad was never home. But through everything with their families, they had each other. Always.

10. There’s only "One Tree Hill"

You could say you don’t like your hometown, but it will always be your home. Look at B. Davis, she left right after high school to go to New York, but she came back to Tree Hill. She loved her hometown so much she left her big-city life and went home. Teenagers will say they don’t like where they live, but it will always be your home and there’s only one home.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
