1. Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is a beautiful city on the coast of Croatia with cobblestone roads, gelato stands on every corner, and an astonishing wall that can be climbed around the city.

2. The Beaches

The Croatian beaches are surrounded by beautiful mountains and rocks that stretch out into crystal clear water. In some places, there are even islands that are within swimming reach.

3. Mirogoj Cemetery Zagreb

Zagreb is full of many wonderful things to see, but the Mirogoj Cemetery is one beautiful sight to see. Though it may be a resting place for the dead, it is alive with trees, statues and spectacular architecture that encompasses the entire facility.

4. Traditional Balkan Food (Ćevapi)

This traditional dish is one of Croatia’s many delicious meals to offer. Ćevapi is a sausage dish put inside a pita like bread then grilled with olive oils. It is served with onions and cream, which resembles a mixture that resembles something between butter and sour cream. It is one of Croatia’s most popular dishes.

5. Pula

Pula is a marvelous city with great architectural influences from the Roman Empire, as you can probably see. The Arena dates back to 28 BC.

6. Split

Split is the Pearl of the Mediterranean. It is modern, but it also contains so much history as well. There are markets in the city with strawberries the size of a baseball, and in the center of the city, Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace still stands today.

7. Croatian Caves

Croatia is known for their caves. There are twenty-one caves in Croatia all varying in different lengths and depth, and most of them are able to be explored.

8. Plitvice Lakes National Park

Plitvice is a beautiful park with extraordinary waterfalls and lakes where families swim in the spring and summer.

9. Dubrovnik Cathedral

If you stop in Dubrovnik, might as well go see this beautiful baroque church with notable art relating back to Saint Blaise when he was the patron saint of the city.

10. Gelato

Gelato stands are put on every corner during warmer seasons. Croatian Gelato is some of the creamiest, most delicious ice cream for so little money.
