He's awesome

10 Reasons To Love Shane Dawson

Shane Dawson has been by far my favorite Youtuber since I was about nine years old, and that was eleven years ago. I’ve seen him in his early days of filming all the way up to now and he has never disappointed me. I’ve always wanted to meet him and one day tell him how much he has meant to me. Although I can’t really do that, I can at least make this semi-well written article about my undeniable love for him.

1. He will always make you laugh

Shane Dawson has an…interesting sense of humor, and by interesting I mean completely fucked up, but hey, that’s why we love him! He doesn’t mind joking about taboo topics and he loves to be self-deprecating, as do I so it works.

2. He’s adorable

As much as Shane Dawson tries to convince his viewers that he is a hairy disgusting ball of nasty, he just isn’t. He’s adorable and I smile every time I open one of his videos.

3. He’s real

When shit hits the fan, Shane Dawson will always be real with his fans. He doesn’t like to hide things from us and he doesn’t like to lie, so you always know that what you see is what you get with Shane, which is awesome!

4. His relationships

You can always tell the quality of a person based on his relationships with those around him. He and his mother are very close, sometimes a little “too close”, and his romantic endeavors have been nothing but loving, even if they don’t end up working out.

5. He’s fucking crazy

From microwaving a bag of Doritos to waffle-ironing a Barbie doll, Shane Dawson will always be one of the weirdest people on the internet, but that’s okay because we love him anyway.

6. Dat hair doe

Emo swoopy hair and fuck-boy short-cut, this man knows it all and he works each one so FIERCE.

7. Uno

You used to not be able to have Shane without Miley, then there was no Shane without Corny, now there is no Shane without Uno. Shane Dawson will always be the owner of the cutest dogs in the world.

8. He’s a good person

Although I’ve never met Shane Dawson in person, and I only have seen what he has allowed me to see, I truly believe he is a good person with a good heart. He sincerely wants everyone he knows to be as happy and blessed as possible.

9. His faith

Shane Dawson doesn’t talk about religion or faith a lot, but the times that he has have really resonated with me. As a Catholic who is deeply faith-filled to have someone like Shane to look up to is so wonderful.

10. He makes me feel less fat

I mean, let’s be honest, Shane Dawson eats everything in sight, so I really love just turning on YouTube while eating so I feel less like a huge lard of disgustingness. Yet, he still stays so skinny…how!

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
