As with any new iOS that Apple releases, people usually love it or they hate it. Personally, I love it and here's why:

1. The new lock screen

You now have all of the information you could ever need right at your fingertips. You don't have to unlock your phone to see the weather, any events you may have, or top news stories. You can even control which widgets you see. I added my favorite contacts so that I don't even have to unlock my phone to call anyone.

2. iMessage notifications in the lock screen

You can respond to your texts right from the lock screen just by holding down on the notification and entering your passcode. If you need to see the whole conversation you can just click it again and it will take you to the full conversation.

3. iMessage, in general, got so much cooler

First, iMessage now has its own app store and you can access apps within messages. It's much easier to send photos in iMessage as well. There's also digital touch messages, where you can send a kiss or a heartbeat among other things. Just turn your phone sideways and you can handwrite a message to someone! You can also make your iMessages more unique by adding a tone to them, whether it's a slam, loud or whisper. You can also send a message in invisible ink. To add a little pizzazz, all you have to do is add 1 of 5 scene to your iMessage.

4. Photos

The Photos app got a lot smarter. It can now organize people by facial recognition or it can organize photos by location.

5. The control center

The control center is now split into two screens; one for your music and one for everything else. The 3D touch adds to this because you can now set the intensity of your flashlight, set a quick timer without entering the clock app and choose your camera setting before entering the camera app.

6. Freedom to delete apps

You now have the freedom to delete apps that came with your phone if you don't use them like stocks, music, and mail among others.

7. Gamecenter?

Gamecenter, if you even know what that is, is completely gone! No more wasted space on an app that generally nobody used.

8. Emojis

The Emojis are now more detailed and more diversified. They feature single-parent families and they have added opposite sex for a lot of emojis like a female police officer and detective and a male getting his hair cut and even more female athletes. They have also rid themselves of the gun, replacing it with a water pistol, which I think is sending a great message.
