There's no question that staying home and crafting is almost every basic girl's dream. All those DIY crafts and fun weekend projects we see on Pinterest feed our souls and help us channel our inner Jessica Day!

So, what is my favorite craft you may ask? Well, anything that involves my Cricut!

What's a Cricut? You know...those super cool die cut machines you see in Michael's that are N E V E R on sale. Yeah, those ones! The ones with all the exciting vinyl and fabrics...those ones!

Sure, a Cricut is an investment, but it's an investment you will not regret.

So, why is this Cricut so great?

1. Can you say monogramming?

I'm not sure if you're as monogram obsessed as I am, but if you are...the Cricut is your new bestie.

2. Need a last minute gift?

Seriously, head to the Dollar Store, buy a stemless wine glass, throw on a cute quote, and call it a damn day!

3. Say hello to personalized t-shirts

This is my personal (no pun intended) perk! We have annual passes to Disney and you better believe we have custom shirts for every trip.

4. Really, say hello to personalized anything

Water bottle, phone cases, makeup bags, umbrellas...the list goes on and on.

5. Become an Etsy shop

For something you can do after work or on the weekends, it's a great way to earn some extra money...that you'll probably just buy more vinyl with.

6. Make cool stuff, sell it & donate that money

Find your cause and make things to give back. I've recently started making dog bandannas and donating what I earn from them to local dog rescues!

7. Need a wedding gift?

8. Party decorations

This is perfect for events of all kinds! Birthday parties for children and adults - the options are truly endless.

9. Getting married?

If you find yourself to be a crafty fiance, the Cricut might be just what you need! We've all seen those cute signs on Etsy; well, now you can make it and save some money.

10. Do you just want to craft?

I'm sure, like me, many of you received lots of gift cards over the holidays. After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
