Seasons are changing and fall is finally here! The weather is perfect and the holiday spirits are starting to rise. If autumn is your favorite season, I can't say I blame you, because it is a pretty awesome time of year. Here are 10 perfect reasons to love autumn this year!

10. You can pick the perfect pumpkin to get your carve on.

Who doesn't love pumpkin carving? It's the most messy fun you will probably have all season. Embrace your creativity, have some fun, and unleash your inner child with this fun for all activity! Don't forget to save your pumpkin seeds and toast them up for a little fall treat!

9. Haunted Houses are popping up all over town.

My absolute favorite thing to do in the fall is go to a great haunted house during halloween time. Nothing beats a good scare in the early fall. So grab your friends, and hit the nearest haunted house. Send some shivers down your spine and get your adrenaline pumping because fall is just getting started.

8. All the yummy recipes you can try out.

Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin, and Pumpkin Spice Lattes! The possibilities are endless with fall favorites like pumpkin, apples, and butternut squash. Find a new recipe on Pinterest to try out this fall or perfect an old one. Whatever you decide, you can't go wrong with fall foods. Yum!

7. You can host a scary movie marathon.

Grab a blanket, popcorn, and a sidekick! Scary movie nights are the most fun in the fall time. Something about the chill breeze outside and the eerie-ness of halloween time makes scary movie marathons utter perfection in the fall. Make sure you pick some great movies to get yourself jumping out of your seat and screaming!

6. Sweater weather is in full spring!

Attention all fashionistas, your time is now! Whip out those boots and sweaters because it's time to rock them like never before. The weather is perfection right now and you can really wear any piece of clothing in your closet right now without getting weird looks from strangers. Pick out your favorite outfit and hit the streets to strut your stuff.

5. The most lit holidays are all around the corner.

Halloween and Thanksgiving are right around the corner and once those are here and gone that can only mean one thing...Christmas! And for all my fellow indians, you know fall also means Garba season and Diwali are here! So many holidays, so little time! Can fall just last forever please?

4. The best sales are about to hit your favorite stores.

Nothing and I mean nothing beats holiday sales! Black Friday is coming and the deals will be endless. The fall is the perfect time to get all that Christmas shopping done and maybe treat yourself to a new sweater or boots or both.

3. You can embrace your inner interior decorator.

Fall is the perfect time to decorate both inside and outside. Decorate of halloween, decorate for thanksgiving, and then get ready to pull out your christmas tree. If you've had your eye on a craft you want to try out, this is the perfect time to finally sit down and craft your heart out.

2. You no longer need your beach body.

Bye bye beach season, this body is ready for some holiday meals and comfort food with family and friends! I guess it can't hurt to keep your beach body, but hey you don't really need it at the moment so let yourself splurge a little!

1. Nature never looked better!

The leaves are changing color and are starting to fall! This calls for more than gorgeous views outside and if you still are a kid at heart, jumping into piles of leaves! Take a walk outside and breathe in the beautiful fresh autumn breeze. Nature is calling and so if fall, it won't last forever to enjoy it while it's here.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
