You're probably thinking, wow, all this girl writes about is her small country town and the country parties she goes to, what else could she write about when it comes to being country. This should be the last one, I promise.. Being a country girl to me means, you're not afraid to get dirty, you go hunting/fishing/trapping yearly, you like to go muddin', and you love country music. It doesn't mean going to those Luke Bryan concerts every once in awhile wearing those short shorts, flannels and cowboy boots that you only wear once a year. When looking for a girl to bring home to your family, you want one that will get along perfectly with your momma, can joke around with your father, and be best friends with your siblings, that girl is a country girl. Here are some reasons to why you should find yourself a country girl.

1. 'Huntin', Fishin', Lovin' Everyday.'

Country girls love camouflage and probably own more camouflage than you will ever think about owning so she won't have any issue with how much camouflage you own or how many guns you own. We love going hunting and fishing all year round and they learned everything from their fathers. Our fathers will most likely take you hunting and fishing and will probably end up teaching you a thing or two. No matter what, you'll always have your own hunting and fishing buddy all year round when you date us country girls.

2. Tougher Than Nails

You won't need to treat us as if we are a delicate princess. Don't get me wrong all girls are princesses but us country girls, we are a different type of princess. We were raised with the mentality of being extremely independent and we will always be that way. Country music has always been there for us no matter what the situation is so we can handle an situation thrown at us. Carrie Underwood taught us that if a guy wants to cheat on us, let him because the only way we can truly make him feel the same as us is by destroying his truck, and Miranda Lambert taught us that the only way to deal with a heartbreak is to burn his house and drink a bottle of whiskey. I'm not saying that we don't like having someone to depend on all the time, because trust me, it's great to have someone to lean on. So before you try and help carry those heavy boxes or 30-racks, let us try doing it ourselves.

3. We Can Cook

Don't get me wrong, every other girl in the world can probably cook BUT country girls know how to cook literally everything and anything perfectly! If we doesn't exactly know how to cook, I'll bet you money that our momma knows how to cook. Just look at Paula Dean, a southern girl who had her own cooking show and has multiple cook books. If you have ever ate anything made from a country girl, you know exactly what I am talking about.

4. We Are Straightforward

Unlike everyone else in this society, we are not afraid of being vulnerable. We listen to country music so we are extremely in touch with our emotions and know how to express them.

5. We Are Hard Workers

We definitely know how to work. We are not afraid to get our hands a little dirty. We are the farthest thing from being lazy so if you ever need help fixing a fence, unloading hay, a barn to be cleansed, or need help fixing your truck, us country girls the one to always count on to for help.

6. We Are Comfortable With Ourselves

You can throw mud at us while we are wearing our brand new sundress, spill beer on our "nice" boots and we won't care. None of that will matter to us because country girls are very low maintenance and have better things on out mind than what we looks like.

7. We Can Hang With The Guys

We are comfortable with ourselves so we really doesn't care about being ladylike to impress you or your guys. You may be the type of guy that needs "your girl" to get along with his guys and country girls are the ones that will get along great with your guys. Country girls know exactly how to adapt and just hangout with the boys when necessary. You want to go out muddin' with your truck or just want to go out shooting guns with the guys, call your girl up because there is a good chance that she will want to come out with you. There's a good chance that we grew up around with brothers, cousins, and other male family members and we somehow managed to keep up with them so there's a good chance we'll be able to keep up with you and your guys.

8. 'At The Bonfire, Out In The Sticks'

Don't get me wrong, all girls love those cute little candlelight dinner dates at a romantic place. But country girls would rather do something more like going out and doing something that involves nature. If you are anything like me, I'm the type of country girl that absolutely LOVES going out muddin', going fishin', and just hanging out exploring nature as dates. Country girls are low maintenance like I stated above, so you won't have to worry about getting all dressed up nice and making dinner plans because we would much rather throw on some holey jeans and a hoodie and head out to the local cornfield, listen to country music all night long around a big fire drinking a 30-rack with you.

9. 'Whiskey For My Men, Beer For My Horse' -Toby Keith

A country girl loves her beer. Whether it's Budlight, Busch, or Budwieser. We would much rather drink beer over those fancy mixed drinks that you can only get at a nightclub. Trust me the only mixed drinks we will ever drink are those mixed with our boys, Jack Daniels, Jim Bean, and good ole' Captain Morgan.

10. We Are Forever Loyal

We are from small country towns, so that means we have respect for a culture that values that concept of "home." We listen to country love songs and they have taught us more about love and how we should be treated compared to any advice anybody has ever tried giving to us. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will forever be our role models when it comes to finding true love so when we do fall in love, we fall hard and don't plan on giving up on that relationship because of all the country love songs we listen to.

I just gave you ten perfectly good reasons why should find yourself a country girl. You're probably thinking, what the heck does this girl know when it comes to finding a girl that is perfect for you. Trust me on this, country girls are the perfect girl for you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
