There's nothing quite like a college football game, and there's definitely nothing like a UT Longhorn football game either. I grew up watching the legendary UT/A&M, so I knew the hype that revolved around a game at DKR. However, it wasn't until my freshmen year at the first home game of the season that I realized how special game day is in Longhorn country. So two years and many games later, here's list of reasons why being a Longhorn in Austin, Texas on game day is one of the greatest feelings in the world.

1. Seeing DKR covered in burnt orange.

Because there's nothing quite like seeing every fan covered head to toe in one of the greatest colors in the world.

2. Everyone throwing up the horns at every opportunity.

From sun up to sun down, the horns stay up on gameday in Austin, Texas.

3. Watching as the World's Largest Texas flag is opened all across the field before the start of every game.

The World's Largest Texas flag is brought out before every game, pep rallies in front of the tower, and other UT spirit events by the co-ed fraternity Alpha Phi Omega. I mean everything's bigger in Texas, so it's only natural that the world's largest flag can be found in the state capitol.

4. Yelling "Hook em Horns" all day.

Because why wouldn't you?

5. Seeing the band run out Big Bertha before the game.

I mean of course we have the biggest bass drum in the world at our football games.

6. Singing "Eyes of Texas" before (and after) the game.

The best school song out there, and staying Eyes to Eyes is the best part of the day.

7. Hearing Smokey the Cannon go off after every touchdown.

Even though I know it's coming once we score a touch down, it still scares me every time.

8. Seeing Bevo at every game.

BEVO XV IS HERE!!! Long may he reign!!!!

9. Singing "Texas Fight" after every touchdown.

"Give 'em hell! Give 'em hell! Make 'em eat shit! And it's goodbye to all the rest!!"

10. Watching the band perform during halftime.

Bands are always a great source of entertainment, and UT's always creates a unique show for each game.

11. Seeing the top of the tower lit up burnt orange after a winning game.

It's an amazing feeling anytime the tower is lit up, but it's especially great after witnessing an exciting win.

12. When Matthew McConaughey comes to a game.

Because there's nothing better than seeing every longhorn's favorite alumni at DKR.

13. WHEN TEXAS BEATS NO. 10 NOTRE DAME IN A DOUBLE OVERTIME.

My heart stopped multiple times Sunday night, but UT prevailed and I've never been prouder to call myself a Texas Longhorn!!

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
